South Bend Central Development Area <br /> <br />(1) Resolution No. 2631 related to acquisition <br />of property in the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. (325-329 S. Lafayette) <br /> <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that Resolution No. 2631 <br />sets the acquisition value for the former <br />Schillings Camera Store, 325-329 S. <br />Lafayette, at $333,000, and authorizes the <br />sending of a purchase offer in that amount to <br />the owner, Cari Shein. The acquisition value <br />was determined by averaging the values of <br />two independent appraisers. The property <br />consists of a 23,760 SF (+/- .545 acres) lot <br />with one 17,565 SF commercial structure. <br />The parcel sits on the west side of Lafayette <br />north of the intersection of Lafayette and <br />Western and is located in the Coveleski Park <br />– Large Development Site Block bounded by <br />Western, Lafayette, Wayne and William. <br />There are only three property owners in this <br />block.
