A letter from Producers s Market Co., Inc., dated February 2, 1955, on behalf of <br />patron, Mr. John Thomas, in -regard to damage to his car in the amount of75.00, repre- <br />senting cost of repair, which was caused by apparent negligence on the part of the <br />,Falcon Marine Company. The Clerk was directed to advise Producerts Market Co., Inc., <br />their letter will be filed. with any other claims against this contractor, to assure its <br />settlement before final payment is made by the City at termination of contract. <br />The Board next read the letter of the J. E. Greiner Co., RE: Parcel 64D, City of <br />,South Bend, under date of February 4, 1955, and formulated reply, copy of which is to <br />be on file in the office of the Board, and in the office of the City Engineer, granting <br />lithe required right of entry. <br />The Board next reviewed bids opened at the previous meeting, to supply a calculating <br />machine for the City Treasurerts Office. Inasmuch as none of the machines offered, <br />met the exact requirements of the department, all bids were rejected. The value of <br />the calculator, being less than the statutory $1,000.00, the Board directed that the <br />Treasurerts Office proceed to purchase calculator to meet their exact needs. <br />The time now being 104.00 A. M. <br />proceeded to open bids, as follows; <br />INTERNATIONAL SALT COiV!PANY <br />P. 0.
