A letter from Producers s Market Co., Inc., dated February 2, 1955, on behalf of patron, Mr. John Thomas, in -regard to damage to his car in the amount of75.00, repre- senting cost of repair, which was caused by apparent negligence on the part of the ,Falcon Marine Company. The Clerk was directed to advise Producerts Market Co., Inc., their letter will be filed. with any other claims against this contractor, to assure its settlement before final payment is made by the City at termination of contract. The Board next read the letter of the J. E. Greiner Co., RE: Parcel 64D, City of ,South Bend, under date of February 4, 1955, and formulated reply, copy of which is to be on file in the office of the Board, and in the office of the City Engineer, granting lithe required right of entry. The Board next reviewed bids opened at the previous meeting, to supply a calculating machine for the City Treasurerts Office. Inasmuch as none of the machines offered, met the exact requirements of the department, all bids were rejected. The value of the calculator, being less than the statutory $1,000.00, the Board directed that the Treasurerts Office proceed to purchase calculator to meet their exact needs. The time now being 104.00 A. M. proceeded to open bids, as follows; INTERNATIONAL SALT COiV!PANY P. 0.
