<br />consider bids for the above named improvements, provided all bids for the construction of

<br />payable to the Treasurer of this City in the sum of two and one-half per cent of the
<br />amount of his bid, or a bid bond for two and one-half per cent of the amount of his bid,
<br />to insure the execution of this contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered, to give notice by two weekly publications •
<br />of the time and place, when and where bids will be received, opened and considered for I
<br />the construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each bidder

<br />Improvement Resolution No. 2789, 1954, adopted July 6, 1954, and first confirmed on ; •
<br />August 2, 1954•
<br />No written remonstrance or remonstrances against said improvement bearingthe sig-
<br />natures of fifty-one per cent or more of the resident property owners on said street
<br />to be improved, having been filed within the ten day period following the date and I)
<br />i time of the hearing on said improvement, therefore
<br />BE IT R'E'SOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, i
<br />Indiana, that Improvement Resolution No. 2789, 1954 duly adopted by this Board on
<br />July 6, 1954, and first confirmed on August 2, 1954, be and the same is in all things
<br />finally confirmed and the improvement is hereby ordered made. j •

<br />The Board examined and approved drawing and Dedication of Re -Plat Zookts First
<br />Subdivision in the City of South Bend, County of St. Joseph, State of Indiana, which
<br />had the stamp of approval of the Planning Commission under date of August 5, 1954•
<br />Lots 1 2 and 3 of Joe Muiaf s Re -Plat of lots 152 and 153 of Horne & Dunn First
<br />Subdivision in River Park in the -.City of South Bend, Indiana was examined and approved
<br />by the Board.
<br />A letter was received from the City Planning Commission recommending the vacation •
<br />of the north half of the north -south alley between California and Rex Street immediately
<br />west of Leland Avenue, and this was referred to the Engineering Department for further
