The Board, upon the recommendation of Consoer, Townsend and Associates, consulting <br />engineers, approved the Engineering Department of the University of Notre Dame as"the <br />laboratory for the testing of the concrete pipe to be furnished under Contract P-61 <br />in connection with the Sewage Treatment Plant and Interceptor Sewer project. The'Clerk <br />was, accordingly, directed to so inform the contractor concerned in this matter.''` <br />4 <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2773 1954 <br />j! This being the date set for the hearing on the resolution heretofore adopted by <br />IIthe Board of Public Works for the vacation of streets, alleys, and utility easements <br />;fall in a part of Edison Park Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, under <br />Vacation Resolution No. 2773, Attorney Russell C. Kuehl appeared before the Board, <br />I�representing one remonstrator, requesting only that a correction be made in No. 6 <br />�!of the resolution, which should read - All utility easements that affect any part of <br />!'Lots Numbered 351 to 405, inclusive, and 450 to 485, inclusive, except and excluding <br />!those utility easements covering the north four feet (4') of Lots 351 to 359 inclusive. <br />IThe Board approved the correction amending the resolution, and it was moved, seconded <br />Hand unanimously carried that the said amended resolution be finally adopted and the <br />;!said streets, alleys and utility easements be vacated. The Engineering Department is <br />1directed to prepare an assessment roll covering the assessment of benefits and the <br />11award of damages to the surrounding properties. <br />!! <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2771 - 1954 <br />In accordance with legal notice hearing was held at 11:00 o'clock on Improvement <br />Resolution No. 2771 for the improvement of NORTH ELMER STREET by constructing a local <br />sewer. Mr. Andrysiak explained the fundamentals and procedure pertaining to the oper- <br />ation of the Barrett Law and aIL the necessary steps for the completion of the construc- <br />tion involved. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION CONFIRMED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2771 <br />if <br />• ; For the improvement of NORTH ELMER STREET under Improvement Resolution No. 2771, <br />'adopted March 15, 1954, from the center line of Elwood Avenue to the center line of <br />.'Keller Street by constructing a local sewer. <br />I! April 19, 1954, at the hour of 11:00 o'clock A. M., CST is hereby fixed as the <br />1' time and the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety in the City Hall of this <br />City, as the place, when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open and <br />1 consider bids for the above named improvements, provided all bids for the construction <br />of said work shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of this Board before 11:00 o'clock' <br />of said day.
