Bickel <br />Board of PuBlic WorTEs & Safety <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO.2768 - 1954 <br />This beinp the date set, hearing; was held on the assessment roll showinj the <br />award of damaves and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation the First <br />Alley North"of North Side Boulevard from Roberts Street East to the West Line of The <br />. <br />Seven Foot Half Alley East of Roberts Street, under Vacation Resolution No. 2768. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written <br />remonstrances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of <br />notices and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the <br />several lots and of land have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on <br />.parcels <br />said roll. The Board, therefore, decided to take final action on said assessment roll <br />and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification <br />and the proceedings closed, and the portion of the alley vacated upon receipt of the <br />amount of benefit assessments from the various property owners so benefited and all <br />proceedings had with reference to said alley vacation are hereby sustained. <br />• <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2769 - 1954 <br />Thids being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the <br />sward o amages an the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of The First <br />Alley North of Rupel Street From Brookfield Street West to the East Line of The Alley <br />West of Brookfield Street, under Vacation Resolution No. 2769. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no.written <br />remonstrances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of <br />notices.and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the <br />several lots and parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown <br />on said roll. The Board, therefore, decided to take final action on said assessment <br />roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modi- <br />fication and the proceedings closed, and the portion of the alley vacated upon receipt <br />of the amount of benefit assessments from the various property owners so benefited <br />and all proceedings had with reference to said alley vacation are hereby sustained. <br />A petition, dated February 28, 1954, for the improvement of South 34th Street <br />from Jefferson Boulevard to Washington , by construction of sidewalks, and bearing <br />twenty-three signatures of residents of the locality,,, was next examined and referred <br />to the office of the City Engineer for investigation and report. <br />-4. <br />Upon the recommendation of the Consulting Engineers, Consoer, Townsend & <br />Associates, the Board named Yeomans Bros. Company to be suppliersof Items 0-1, 0-2 and <br />0-6 for the sewage lift stations to be constructed under Contract No. 7, and the <br />Clerk was instructed to so notify H. W. Hunter, Contractor, Plymouth, Indiana. <br />An. Execution (Mo.21517) issued by Elkhart Superior Court, s.nd bearing date of <br />February 25th, was examined by the Board and ordered placed in the Fattore Company <br />file. <br />It now being the time set for the opening of bids, announcement was so made and <br />bids were as follows- <br />L. 0.
