IV • • • 0 • i Beginning at a point on the north line of Lot Sixty-six (66) in the recorded plat of Jefferson Heights Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, which point is twenty (20) feet south and one -hundred forty (140) feet east ,of the northwest corner of Section Eight (8), Township Thirty-seven (37) north, Range Three (3) east of Second Principal Meridan;.thence east along north line of Lot Sixty-six (66) and Lot Sixty-seven (67) in the said Jefferson Heights Addition a distance of four hundred eighty-one and fifty-four one -hundredths (481.54) feet to the northeast corner of said Lot Sixty-seven (67); thence south alorgthe east line of said. Lot Sixty-seven (67) and Lot Fifty-six (56) a distance of Eight hundred sixty and thirty-five one -hundredths (860.35) feet to the southeast corner of said lot Fifty-six (56); thence west along the south line of said Lot Fifty-six (56) a distance of one hundred forty- five and twenty-five one -hundredths (145.25) feet to the east line of the west one-half (2) of Lot Fifty (50) in said Jefferson Heights Addition; thence south along the east line of the west one-half (2) of said Lot Fifty (50) a distance of four hundred ten and twenty-eight one -hundredths (410.28) feet to the north line of Washington Avenue; thence west along the north line of said Washington Avenue a distance of one hundred forty- five and thiity-seven one -hundredths (145.37) feet to the west line of said Lot Fifty (50); thence north along the west line of said Lot Fifty (50) and said Lot Fifty -Six (56) a distance of eight hundred forty-one and sixty-four one -hundredths '8l�1.6J�) feet to the northwest corner of said Lot Fifty-six (56); thence west along the south line of said Lot Sixty-six (66) a distance of one hundred fifty-two and seventy-three one -hundredths (152.71) feet to a point which is one hundred thirty- eight (138) feet east of the west line of said Lot Sixty-six (66); thence north parallel to and one hundred thirty-eight (138) feet east of the west line of said Lot Sixty-six (66) a distance of two hundred ninety-one and sixteen one -hundredths (291.16) feet; thence west parallel to and one hundred forty (140) feet south of the north line of said Lot Sixty - Six (66) a distance of thirty-eight (38) feet; thence north parallel to and one hundred (100) feet east of the west line of said Lot Sixty-six (66) a distance of one hundred forty (140) feet to the point of beginning. The plat contains thirty-six (36) lots numbered from one (1) to thirty-six (36) inclusive. The size of the lots and the widths of the streets and utility easements are marked on the plat in feet and decimals of feet, thereof. The streets are hereby dedicated to the public for use as public highways, only. The easements are reserved for the exclusive use by public utilities, only. IN WITNESS, therefore, C. Harry Swanson, Inc., being the owner of the fore- going described real estate, has caused this dedication to be signed by its President, C. Swanson Secretary. The Board next took up the matter of the sanitary land fill on Douglas Road. Street Commissioner, H. M. Tomlinson, by whom the land fill is being supervised, was present, and brought to the Board's attention the fact that Bendix Aviation Corporation is now using this fill, and have asked that this privilege be extended them on a flat rate basis of $35.00 per month, which is a rate they have been paying for use of a privately owned dump. The Board approved the $35.00 per month flat rate for the Bendix Aviation Corporation accordingly. The Street Commissioner also stated Bendix has asked that the land fill be available on a 24-hour basis. This presents a problem requiring some study and was accordingly held in abeyance. The Board informed the Street Commissioner that Bendix refuse in the form of ''brake dust" will not be accep- table by the land fill because of its being highly inflamable and subject to spontaneous combustion The Singer Manufacturing Company's agreement to pay 15� per load on a monthly settlement basis was acceptable to the Board. The problem of disposal of logs and tree limbs and branches was settled for the present by the allocating of certain area of the land fill for this type of refuse. The Board specifically directed that all indust- rial:plants, using the sanitary land fill, must deliver their refuse in their own plainly marked trucks.
