The Board approved plans for the redesigning of the safety islands in theLincoln Way East and East Jefferson Boulevard intersection. BUSSES: A letter was received from the Northern Indiana Transit requesting permission to extend the Miami Street line from Woodside to Chippewa to Amhurst, thence returning to Miami and back into town on Miami Street. The Board granted permission for this change effective September 1, 1951. !ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT; Contractors, Bonds were approved and ordered filed for Black and 'iAnderson Construction Company., Inc.; and Taylor Construction Company, Inc. Excavation Bonds were approved and ordered filed for Riggs Plumbing and Heating Com- pany, Mishawaka, Indiana; and Taylor Construction Company, Inca I DEDICATION 1 WHEREAS, a plat with dedication of streets and alleys indicated thereon is now pre-sented to the Board, to be known as Belleville Gardens, 2nd Unit an addition to South Bend, Indiana, and This plat and dedication is filed in the records of the Board of Public Works and Safety in Row #/$ , Drawer # ( , and recorded in Book 18 , Page"B" , in the Recorder's Office of St. Joseph County. NOW,THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets, alleys and public places dedicated to the ;public use in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on behalf of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
