IN <br />The Board accepts the above described strip of land for use as a public alley. <br />The Board approved sewer plans for Meadow Lane for the Colpaert Realty Corporation. <br />d <br />A letter was sent to the owners of the building on the northwest corner of Lafayette <br />Boulevard and Western Avenue informing them that upon the termination of the present j <br />occupance, L. 0. Gates, the curb must be restored to its original position and angle -park' <br />ing on Western Avenue must be eliminated. <br />I <br />Mr. Nathan Levy appeared before the Board representing his client, George Bernath 11 <br />requesting permission for the installation of a sign post on Western Avenue extending j <br />eastward beyond Michigan Street at a point five (5) feet north and one (1) foot east of <br />the west end of the northerly railroad bumper. Permission was granted for the installa- <br />tion of said sign post with the understanding that the said pole will be removed upon <br />30 days notice by the Board. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2674 <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award <br />of damages and the assessment of behefits in the matter of vacation of THAT PORTION OF <br />THE ALLEY 127 FEET SOUTH OF SAMPLE STREET FROM HIGH STREET EAST, described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the east line of High Street 127 feet south of the southeast <br />corner of the intersection of High Street and Sample Street, which point of beginning is <br />At the intersection of the east line of High Street and the north line of said alley; t <br />Thence east along the north line of said alley, and parallel to the south line of Sample <br />Street, a distance of one hundred forty-eight.and seventy-two hundredths (148.72)feet; <br />thence southeast a distance of 19.8 feet,to a point on the south line of said alley, <br />which point is one hundred forty-one (141) feet south of the south line of Sample Street': <br />and one hundred sixty-two and seventy-one hundredths (162.71) feet east of the east line <br />of High Street; thence west along the south line of said alley, and parallel to the south; <br />line of Sample Street, a distance of one hundred sixty-two and seventy-one hundredths <br />(162.71)_feet to the east lineof High Street; thence north along the east line of High <br />Street a distance of fourteen (14) feet to the point of beginning, under Vacation Reso- <br />lution No. 2674. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- <br />strances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofsof publication of notices <br />and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots <br />and parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. <br />The Board, therefore, decided to take final action on said assessment roll and declares <br />same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceed: <br />ings closed, and the alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments from <br />the various property owners so benefited and all proceedings had with reference to said <br />alley vacation are hereby sustained. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2680 <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the resolution heretofore adopted by <br />the Board of Public Works for the vacation of the alley West of Main Street from south <br />line of Donald Street to Ewing Avenue under Vacation Resolution No. 2680. The Clerk of <br />the Board having shown sufficient proofs of publication and no remonstrators having appeared <br />and no writen remonstrances having been filed with the Clerk, it was moved, seconded and <br />unanimously carried that the said resolution be finally adopted and the said alley be <br />vacated. The Engineering Department is directed to prepare an assessment roll covering <br />the assessment of benefits and the award of dxnages to the surrounding properties. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2681 <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the resolution heretofore adopted by ` <br />the Board of Public Works for the vacation of the first alley north of Huron Street from <br />Warren Street to Carlisle Street under Vacation Resolution No. 2681. The Clerk of the <br />Board having shown sufficient proofs of publication and no remonstrators having appe aredi <br />and no written remonstrances having been filed with the Clerk, it was moved, aeconded <br />and unanimously carried that the said resolution be finally adopted and the said alley !' <br />be vacated. The Engineering Department is directed to prepare an assessment roll cover-+ <br />ing the assessment of benefits and the award of damages to the surrounding properties. <br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the improvement of RANDOLPH STREET, <br />VINE STREET AND T`�NENTIETH STREET, the following bids were received and publicly read: <br />Reed Construction Co., <br />Mishawaka, Indiana <br />A Non -Collusion Affidavit <br />with a Bid Bond accompanied <br />the bid. <br />For the improvement of RANDOLPH STREET from the east line of Twyckenham Drive <br />to the west line of Robinson Street under Resolution NO. 2643 <br />Total Extension of Items 1-1, 2-1,4416,7 & 8 8,735.00 <br />Reed Construction Co., A Non -Collusion Affidavit <br />Mishawaka,,Indiana with a Bid B8nd accompanied <br />the bid. <br />For the improvement of VINE STREET from east line of Twenty-sixth Street to the <br />west line of Twenty-seventh Street under Resolution No. 2672, <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
