292 ENGINEER'S REPORT NOS. 2665, 2666, 2667 - 1951 The Board of Public Works and Safety City of South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen; In the matter of the Bids for the improvement of Wilber Street from the North line of Fassnacht Street to the southerly line of LaPorte Avenue in accordance with Improvement Resolution No. 2665, 1951 AND Kenmore Street from the North line of Western Avenue to the south line of Linden Avenue in accordance with Improvement Resolution No. 2666, 1951 AND' Wellington Street from the North line of Western Avenue to the south line of Linden Avenue in accordance with Improvement Resolution No 2667, 1951 passed by this Board on May 7, 1951 and confirmed by this Board on June 4, 1951, we hereby report that we have examined the several bids submitted to the Board on June 25, 1951 and find that the Reed Construction Company has the lowest and best bid for a Class "C" -Type 1 - Cement Concrete Pavement and that all other bids were over the Engineer's Estimate.. We recommend that the kind of Pavement placed on the above streets be Class "C" Type 1, Cement Concrete Pavements. Respectfully submitted, WILBER GARTNER &.ASSOCIATES BY: Wilbur H. CST and publicly opened and considered all bids for the improvement of Kenmore Street from the North line of Western Avenue to the South Line of Linden Avenue, in accordance- with Improvement Resolution No. 2666, 1951, AND j WILBER STREET from the North Line of Fassnacht Avenue to the southerly line of LaPorte Avenue, IN ACCORD& CE with improvement resolution No. 2665, 1951s AND WELLINGTON STREET from the North line of Western Avenue to the South line of Linden Avenue in accordance with improvement Resolution No. 2667, 1951 all passed by this Board on May 7, 1.951, and confirmed by this Board on June 4, 1951. This was referred to the City Engineer's office for investigation and report. CONTRACTORS COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT STATE OF INDIANA ) ) SS: ST. JOSEFH COUNTY ) IN THE MATTER relating to the Improvement made under Improvement Resolution No. 2644-1950 and the Plans and specifications therefore comes now Virgil H. Reed who being duly sworn upon oath deposes and says he is acquainted with the Reed Construction Compa the party to whom was awarded the contract and who performed the work under Improvement Resolution No. 2644-1950 ROBINSON STREET PAVEMENT. � I I That he is familiar with and personally knows the requirements of the plans and spec ifications of said improvement resolution and further knowsr that the said Reed Constructi n Company in the performance of said work complied with all the terms and conditions of said plans and specifications in every particular, and that the material used was of the character, kind, quantity and quality required therein and according to and under they direction of the Board of Public Works and Safety. i (signed) Virgil H.
