Dedication <br />WHEREAS, a plat with dedication of streets and alleys indicated thereon is now pre- <br />ented to the Board, to be known as Miami Hills Addition an addition to South Bend, India <br />a, and <br />This plat and dedication is filed in the records of the Board of Public Works and <br />afety in Row # , Drawer # , and recorded in Book #17, Page I'M" in the Recorder's Of - <br />ice of St. Joseph County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City <br />f South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets, alleys and public places dedicated to <br />he public use in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on be- <br />alf of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2650 <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the resolution heretofore adopted by the <br />oard of Public Works for the vacation of 4 parcel of land located on the north side of <br />est Garst Street, at the northwest corner of the intersection of West Garst and South <br />ranklin Streets, beginning at the northwest intersection of said streets a distance due <br />outh 20.20 feet, thence due west a distance of 99.50 feet, thence due south a distance <br />f 12.00 feet, thence due west a distance of 20.00 feet, thence due north a distance of <br />2.20 feet, thence due east a distance of 119.50 Peet to the point of beginning under Va- <br />ation Resolution No. 2650. The Clerk of the Board having shown sufficient proofs of pub <br />ication and no remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been <br />iled with the Clerk, it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the said resolu <br />ion be finally adopted and the said alley be vacated. The Engineering Department is di- <br />ected to prepare an assessment roll covering the assessment of benefits and the award of <br />amages to the surrounding properties. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2651 <br />This being the date set for hearing on Resolution No. 2651 heretofore adopted by the <br />oard of Public Works for the vacation of the alley north of Pokagon Street from Michigan <br />treet to the east line of the alley west of Michigan Street AND the alley west of Michi- <br />an'Street from Pokagon Street to Angela Boulevard. Comes now Harlan E. Orr, Petitioner, <br />nd files the following motion for continuance: <br />MOTION FOR CONTINUANCE <br />RE: Alley Vacation Petition - <br />Angela to Pokagon-Streets <br />Vest of North Michigan Street <br />ntlemen : <br />The undersigned petitioner represents to this Board that he has not yet completed <br />the contractural documents for the erection of the proposed apartment house building, and <br />that he has not as yet purchased from the City the right of way of the old electric line, <br />but that he does intend to do so in the near future. <br />WHEREFORE, petitioner prays that the hearing on the vacation of the alleys be contin <br />ued until petitioner has purchased from the City of South Bend the old electric line righ <br />of a way. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />(Signed) Harlan E.
