550 A contract between the City of South Bend and the Rieth-Riley Construction Company was approved by the Board for the paving of Dale Avenue from the south line of Indiana Avenue to the north line of Dubail Avenue under Improvement Resolution No. 2594. Also a Maintenance Bond and a performance bond for the above. , A contract between the City of South Bend and the Reed Construction Company was approved by the Board for the paving of Hamden Court from the north line of LaSalle Ave- nue to the south line of alley north of LaSalle Avenue under Improvement Resolution No. 2595. Gentlemen: In the matter of the Bids for the improvement of Thirty -Second Street from the north line of Pleasant Street to the south line of Vine Street in accordance with Improvement Resolution No. 2591, 1949, passed by this Board on April 25, 1949. We hereby report that we have examined the several Bids submitted to the Board on July 51 1949 and find that the Rieth-Riley Construction Company has the lotirest and best bid for Class "C", Type 4 Pavement. ttCtt jl We recommend that the kind of Pavement placed on the above Street be Class Type 4, Compacted Aggregate Base, Bituminous Concrete Surface Pavement.
