<br />Whereas The Board of Public Works and Safety pursuant to its notice to do so,
<br />met on the 8th lay of June, 1949, at the hour of 10:00 A. M. C. S. T. and publicly
<br />opened and considered all bids for the improvement of Grace Street from the West line of
<br />Alley west of Webster Street to the west property line of Oliver Farm Equipment Company
<br />property in accordance with Improvement Resolution No. 2588, 1949, passed by this Board
<br />on May 23, 1949.
<br />Therefore, Be It Resolved that the roadway of said street be improved by paving
<br />with Class t1C" Type 4-Compacted Aggregate Base, Bituminous Concrete Surface,

<br />Gentlemen:
<br />•, In the matter of the Bids for the improvement of Twenty -Fourth Street from the
<br />north line of Mishawaka Avenue to the sough property line of lots licit and "D" of Hastings
<br />Woodward & Gray's Addition, in accordance with Improvement Resolution No. 2590, 19497
<br />passed by this Board on May 23, 1949. We hereby report that we have examined the several
<br />Bids submitted to the Board on June 8, 1949 and find that the Reed Construction Company,
<br />Mishawaka, Indiana has the lowest and best bid for Class "CI' -Type 1-Portland Cement
<br />Concrete Pavement and that the Rieth Rileg Construction Co., South Bend, Indiana has the
<br />lowest and best bid for Class ttCtt-Type 4-Compacted Aggregate Base, Bituminous Concrete
<br />Surface Pavement.
<br />We recommend that the kind of Pavement placed on the above Street be Class "Ctt
<br />® Type 4-Compacted Aggregate Base, Bituminous Concrete Surface.
