In the matter of the Bids for the improvement of Dale Avenue from the South Line o
<br />Indiana Avenue to the North line of Dubail Avenue in accordance with Improvement Resolu-
<br />tion No, 2594, 1949, passed by this Board, on May 23, 1949. We hereby report that we have
<br />examined the several Bids submitted to the Board on June 8, 1949 and find the Reith Riley
<br />Construction Company, South Bend, Indiana has the lowest and best bid for Class "C" Type
<br />Portland Cement Concrete Pavement that the Rieth Riley Construction Co,, South Bend, Ind-
<br />iana has the lowest and best bid,for Class "Cr' Type 4-Compacted Aggregate Base, Bituminou
<br />Concrete Surface Pavement.
<br />We recommend that the kind of Pavement placed on the above Street be Class "C",
<br />Type 4- Compacted Aggregate Base, Bituminous Concrete Surface.

<br />Whereas, The Board of Public Works and Safety pursuant to its notice to do so, met
<br />on the 8th day of June, 1949, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock A.M.C.S.T. and publicly
<br />opened and considered all bids for the improvement of Dave Avenue from the South Line of
<br />Indiana Avenue to the North line of Dubail Avenue, in accordance with Improvement Resol-
<br />ution No. 2594, 1949, passed by this Board on May 237 1949,
<br />Therefore, Be It Resolved that the roadway of said street be improved by paving
<br />with Class "C" Type 4- Compacted Aggregate Base, Bituminous Concrete Surface.

<br />of Olive Street to the east line of Kaley Street in accordance with Improvement Resolutio
<br />No 2592, 1949, passed by this Board on May 23, 1949, We hereby report that we have exam-
<br />ined the several bids submitted to the Board on June 8, 1949and we find that the Rieth-
<br />Riley Construction Co., South Bend, Indiana has the lowest and best bid for Class "C"
