<br />"C" & "D" of Hastings, Woodward & Gray's Addition by draining, grading and paving the
<br />roadway with a Class "C" Pavement, Types One (1) to Five (5) inclusive, be and the same
<br />are hereby adopted and ordered placed on file in the office of the Department of Eng-
<br />ineering of this Board,
<br />June 81 1949 at the hour of 10:00 A.M.C.S.T; is hereby fixed as the time, and the,
<br />office of the Board of Public Wroks and Safety in the City Hall of this City, as the
<br />place' when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open and consider bids
<br />for the above named improvement, provided all bids for the construction of said works
<br />• shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of this Board before 10:00 A.M.C.S.T. of said
<br />day.. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid, a certified check, payable
<br />Ito the Treasurer of this City in the sum of two and one-half (21) per cent of the amount
<br />of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of his bid to
<br />insure the execution,of this contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two weekly publications
<br />Hof the time and place, when and where bids will be received, opened and considered for
<br />the construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each bidder
<br />shall enclose with his bid a certified check or bid bond for above named amount, to in-
<br />sure the execution of this contract.

<br />• TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
<br />Notice is hereby given, that the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, on the 8th day of June, 1949, at the hour of 10:00 A.M.C.S.T. at
<br />the office of the Board, in the City Hall, in said City, will ope7l and consider sealed
<br />bids, and°designate by preliminary order the kind of pavement to be used, for the follow-
<br />ing described Street Improvement, as provided for in Improvement Resolution No. 2590i 194
<br />duly passed by said Board on April 25, 1949 and May 23, 1949 to -wit: Twenty -Fourth Stree
<br />from North Line of Mishawaka Avenue to the South property line of Lots "C" & "D" of
<br />Hastings, Woodward& Gray's Addition by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a
<br />Class "C't Pavement, Types One (1) to Five (5) inclusive.
<br />• Provided, all bids for the construction of said work, shall be filed in the office
<br />of the Clerk of the Board of Public Works and Safety of said City before 10:00 A.M.C.S.T.
<br />of said day.
<br />Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a certified check payable to
<br />the Treasurer of said City, in the sum of two and one-half (2J) percent of the amount
<br />of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (2') per cent of the amount of his bid, to
<br />insure the execution of Contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />II Detailed plans and specifications for said improvement are on file in the office of
<br />;the Department of Engineering.
<br />The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
