PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED

<br />BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend
<br />Indiana, that the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and Estim-
<br />ates approved by this Board on the 25th day of April, 1949, for the improvement of
<br />Stanfield Street from the South line of Howard Street to the North line of Corby Street
<br />by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a,Class "C" pavement, Types 1 to 5
<br />inclusive, be and the same are hereby adopted and ordered placed on file in the office
<br />of the Department of Engineering of this Board.
<br />June 8th, 1949 at the hour of 10:00 A. M. C'.,S. T. is hereby fixed as the time,
<br />and the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety in the City Hall of this City
<br />as the place, when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open and conside
<br />bids for the above named improvement, provided all bids for the construction of said
<br />works , shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of this Board before 10:00 A. M. of sai
<br />day. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with.his bid, a certified check, payable
<br />Treasurer of this City in the sum of two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of hi
<br />bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of his bid to insure
<br />the execution of this contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two weekly publica-
<br />tions of the time and place, when and where bids will be received, opened and considers
<br />for the constructionof said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each
<br />bidder shall enclibse with his bid, a certified check or bid bond for the above named
<br />amount, to insure the execution of this contract.

<br />NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS_
<br />No. 2585 , 1949
<br />Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, on the 6th day of June, 1949, at the hour of 10:00 A.M.C.S.T.
<br />at the office of the Board, in the City Hall, in Said City, will open and consider .
<br />sealed bids, and designate by preliminary order the kind of pavement to be used, for _
<br />the following described Street Improvement, as provided for in Improvement Resolution
<br />No. 2585, 1949, duly passed by said Board on April 25, 1949 and May 239 1949 respect-
<br />ively, to -wit: Stanfield Street from the south line of Howard Street to the north line
<br />of Corby street by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a Class "Cit, pavement,
<br />Types 1 to 5 inclusive.
<br />Provided, all bids for the construction of said work, shall be filed in the, Offic
<br />of the Clerk of the Board of Public Works and Safety of said City before 10:00 A.M,C,S.
<br />of said day.
<br />Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a Certified check payable to
<br />the Treasurer of said City, in the sum of two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount
<br />of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of his bids
<br />to insure the execution of Contract, if said work is awarded to him,
<br />Detailed plans and specifications for said improvement are on file in the office
<br />of the Department of Engineering.
<br />The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all bid
