<br />For the improvement of Thirty -First Street under improvement resolution No. 2586,
<br />1949 adopted April 25 1949 from the South Line of Mishawaka Avenue to the North Line
<br />of Phasant Street by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a Class "C" Pavement
<br />• Types 1 to 5 inclusive.-
<br />After hearing all persons interested who appeared and being fully advised tin the
<br />premises the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for
<br />said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City
<br />,Civil Engineer. Therefore
<br />Be It Resolved, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indianan that Improvement Resolution No. 2586, 1949, duly passed by this Board on April
<br />25, 194y for the above improvement, be and the same is hereby in all things confirmed
<br />hand the improvement is hereby ordered to be made.

<br />BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, that the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and Estim-
<br />ates approved by this Board on the 25th day of April, 1949, for the improvement of
<br />Thirty -First Street from the South Line of Mishawaka Avenue to the North Line of Pleasant
<br />Street by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a Class C Pavement, Types l to
<br />• 5 inclusive, be and the same are hereby adopted and ordered placed on file in the office
<br />of the Department of Engineering of this Board.

<br />June 8? 1949 at the hour of 10:00 oclock A. M. C. S. T. is hereby fixed as the time,
<br />and the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety in the City Hall of this City,
<br />as- the place 0hen and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open and consider
<br />bids for the above named improvement, provided all bids for the construction of said
<br />works shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of this Board before 10:00 A.M.C.S.T.
<br />of said day. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a certified check, pa
<br />able to the Treasurer of this City in the sum of two and one-half t22) per cent of the
<br />amount of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of his
<br />bid to insure the execution of this contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two weekly publications
<br />of the time and place, when and where bids will be received, opened and considered for
<br />the construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each bidder
<br />shall enclose with his bid a certified check or bid bond for above named amount, to in-
<br />sure the execution of this contract.

<br />the office of the Board, in the City Hall, in said City, will open and consider sealed
<br />bids, and designate by preliminary order the -kind of pavement to be used? for the follow-
<br />ing described Street Improvement, as provided for in Improvement Resolution No. 2586,
<br />1949, dulp passed by said Board on April 25, 1949 and May 23_, 1949 respectively, to -wit:
