522 bids, and designate -by preliminary order the.kind of pavement to be used, for the follow ing described Street Improvement, as provided for in Improvement Resolution No. 2595, 19' duly passed by said Board on April 25, 1949 and May 23, 1949 to -wit: Hamden Court from the North line of La Salle Avenue to the South line of Alley north of La Salle Avenue by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a Class C pavement, Types One (1) to Five (5) inclusive. Provided, all bids for the construction of said work, shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of the Board of Public Works and Safety of said City before 10:00 A.M.C.S.T. of said day. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid, a certified check payable to the Treasurer of said City, in the sum of two and one-half (21) per cent of the amount of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (21) per cent of the amount of his bid, to insure the execution of Contract, if said work is awarded to him. Detailed plans and specifications for said improvement are on file in the office the Department of Engineering. The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Reed who being duly sworn upon oath deposes -and says he is acquainted with Reed Construction Company, the party to whom was awarded the contract and who performed the work under Improvement Res- olution No. 2574, 19487.` That he is familiar with and personally knows the requirements of the plans and specifications of said improvement resolution and further }Mows that the said Reed Const ion Company in the performance of said work complied with all the terms and conditions o said plans and specifications in every particular, and that the material used was of the character, kind, quality and quantity required therein and according to and under the direction of the Board of Public Works and Safety. s/ Virgil H.
