Noble, <br />Clerk of the Board <br />.7 <br />Insert in South Bend <br />Tribune & Mirror on <br />Friday May 27, 1949 and <br />Friday, June 3, 1949 <br />NOTICE OF HEARING SPECIAL BENEFITS ON STREET IMPROVEMENT <br />No. 2574, 1948 <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />May 27, 1949 <br />LLO <br />June 3, 1947 <br />MEOW Notice is hereby given, that the following Street Improvement has been completed. <br />The general character of the Improvement, the street, alley, or public place on which <br />it has been made, and the terminal points thereof, are as follows: Kosciuszko Street <br />. from north line of Sample Street to the South line of Dunham Street, by draining, grad <br />and paving the roadway with a Class "C" Type One (1) Pavement. <br />There is on file in the office of the City Controller of said City an assessment <br />roll with the names of the owners and description of property subject to be assessed wi <br />the amount of the prima facia assessment, and can be seen in the office of said City <br />Controller. <br />The Board of Public Works and Safety of said City, at the office of the Board in said <br />City, will on the 6th day of June, 19'9 at 10:00 A. M. C..S.T. receive and hear remon- <br />strances against the amounts assessed against their property respectively, on said roll, <br />and will determine the question as to whether such lots, or tracts of land, h,&*6 been <br />. for will be benefited by said Improvement to the amounts named on said roll, or is greate <br />�or less than that named on said roll or in any sum. Vennet, Auditor, was present and presented his <br />report for the week ending May 21, 191+9. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Melton 0. Brannon, Superintendent was present and matters per- <br />aining to his department were discussed. <br />!j A letter was received from Leslie C. Baumgartner, 2613 Birch Way, offering the use of <br />!a lot at the South West Corner of Washington and Wellington Streets to be used as'a <br />• <br />'childrents playground for a period of 1 year. The Board directed that the Street Depar ;iment be authorized to grade said street. <br />i� <br />CEMETERY'DEPARTMENT: Mr. Stanley Sesczcynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertain <br />ing to his department were discussed. <br />There being no further business to come before'the meeting, the meeting was closed <br />at 12:00 'P.
