8. Must be able and willing to remain in a standing or sitting position for extended periods <br />of time. <br />9. Must be able and willing to work in a variety of weather conditions with possible <br />exposure to the elements. <br />General Staffing Needs <br />The Leighton Theater requires one (1) Security Officer at all scheduled rehearsals and theater <br />equipment load ins, setup, and load outs; and a minimum of two (2) Security Officers during and <br />for all public events. The Palais Royale requires a minimum of one (1) Security Officer during <br />and for all scheduled evening and weekend events. Century Center requires one (1) or more <br />Security Officers for special events. When more than one (1) Security Officer is scheduled at the <br />Morris/Palais/CC, ESG shall designate and empower one (1) of the scheduled Security Officers <br />as Shift Supervisor. The Security Officer Shift Supervisor is a working position and is <br />responsible for monitoring ESG's employees and taking corrective action as may be needed or <br />requested by the Morris/Palais/CC administration. Upon request, ESG shall supply Doormen and <br />Cloak Room Attendants, Said `special' event staffing shall fall under the direction of ESG's lead <br />Security Officer on duty for a given event. ESG acknowledges that the Morris/Palais/CC has a <br />no alcohol/drug tolerance rule and a no fraternization with Morris/Palais/CC administrative staff <br />or visiting artist and staff rule for all ESG's employees while on duty at the Morris/Palais/CC <br />Complex. Violation of these rules subjects ESG's employee to permanent rejection from being <br />scheduled to work at the Morris/Palais/CC Complex. <br />Salaries of Contractual Employees <br />As ESG is an independent contractor, and not an employee or agent of the VPA or City of South <br />Bend, ESG will assume responsibility for all expenses for wages including, but not limited to: <br />supervisory differentials, payroll taxes, insurance, benefits, social security, and unemployment <br />compensation. All staffing supplied by the ESG must be bonded. The rates to be charged <br />Morris/Palais/CC by ESG for all services rendered shall be fixed for the length of this <br />Agreement as described in the attached Exhibit A. <br />Mana2ement/Supervision <br />ESG shall have sole responsibility for the supervision and training of all Security Officers <br />performing under this agreement. Supervision shall consist of that level of management and <br />administration activity necessary to ensure that each Security Officer is performing his/her duties <br />in a safe and efficient manner. <br />The ESG shall provide phone number(s) and pager/cell numbers at which ESG or designated <br />agent of the ESG with administrative authority may be reached on a 24-hour, 7 days per week, <br />52 weeks per year basis. <br />Uniforms and Appearance <br />ESG's on site Security Officers shall maintain, at all times, a clean and neat appearance. ESG's <br />Security Officers shall be appropriately uniformed while on duty at Morris/Palais/CC. The tenn <br />"appropriate" is interpreted to include all apparel, equipment, nametags, and badges.
