<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Fritzberg and carried, the above
<br />proposals were referred to Venues, Parks, and Arts for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID — ONE (1) OR MORE 2017 OR NEWER TUB GRINDER SPEC I
<br />(ORGANIC RESOURCES CAPITAL LEASE)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on April 25, 2017, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Vermeer of Indiana, 13402 Britton Park Road, Fishers, IN 46038, in the unit amount of
<br />$546,090.28. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and
<br />the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — ONE (1) OR MORE 2017 OR NEWER COMPACT TRACK LOADER
<br />SPEC K (VENUES PARKS & ARTS CAPITAL LEASE)
<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on May 9, 2017, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referenced equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Hudak
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Hull Lift Truck/Bobcat of Michiana, 28747 Old US 33 West., Elkhart, IN 46514, in the unit
<br />amount of $57,299.29. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT — SALE OF CITY -OWNED
<br />PROPERTY - 1721 PRAIRIE AVENUE
<br />Ms. Debrah Jennings, Community Investment, advised the Board that on March 14, 2017, bids
<br />were received and opened for the above referenced property. After reviewing those bids, Ms.
<br />Jennings recommended that the Board award the contract to the sole responsive and responsible
<br />bidder, Richard Fox, 12813 Westwood Lane, Wayland, MI 49348, in the amount of $1,030.00
<br />plus recording and advertising fees for a total of $1,137.32. Also presented at this time for
<br />approval was the Purchase Agreement. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above and the Purchase
<br />Agreement be approved. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — CURB AND SIDEWALK DIVISION A —
<br />PROJECT NO. 117-008
<br />Mr. Kevin Fink, Engineering, advised the Board that on May 9, 2017, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Fink recommended
<br />that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Walsh &
<br />Kelly, Inc., 24358 SR 23, South Bend, IN 46614, in the amount of unit prices not to exceed
<br />$109,024. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br />bid be awarded and the contract approved as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion,
<br />which carried.
<br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONTRACT — CURB AND SIDEWALK DIVISIONS B-F —
<br />PROJECT NO. 117-008
<br />Mr. Kevin Fink, Engineering, advised the Board that on May 9, 2017, bids were received and
<br />opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Fink recommended
<br />that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Ziolkowski
<br />Construction, Inc., 4050 Ralph Jones Drive, South Bend, IN 46628, in the amount of unit prices
<br />not to exceed $260,381. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded and the contract approved as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg
<br />seconded the motion, which carried.
