Analysis Report. Certain categories have been adjusted to reflect local
Code enforcement since completion of the Neighborhood Analysis Study,
j
TIME SCHEDULE AND
CONDITION RATING
Condition Number of Man Days
Rating Housing Units Required for Inspection
a -
1 6482 260
2 3645 365
3 1901 238
4 419 63
The first priority area contains by far the largest number of housing units
with major deficiencies. The City has recognized this fact and has in recent
years initiated several programs within the area for eliminating existing
i substandard conditions. Included are the Model Cities Program, the LaSalle
{ Park and Central Downtown Urban Renewal Projects and an Application for Con-
centrated Code Enforcement Program. In addition the Department p o. Redevelop
meat has initiated a study to rejuvenate the Near Southeast'Section of the
' ! City (Neighborhood 24) .
It is estimated that under the best of conditions 916 man days will be required
i
to complete a house by house inspection for this area. The Building Department
will assign four inspectors to this which should result in completion of the
inspection work within the next twelve months.
The second priority area comprises neighborhoods that were developed before
1940 but have generally been maintained in good repair. (see attached map)
This is evident •by the following table which shows an improved rating for a
larger number of housing units.
