RESOLUTION NO. 350-73 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, REGARDING RESIDENCY OF CITY <br /> EMPLOYEES. <br /> WHEREAS, The South Bend Common Council is desirous <br /> of obtaining quality employees for the City of South Bend, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council is also <br /> desirous that city employees be city residents, <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend, as follows: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of South Bend <br /> should give preference, where possible, and without sacrificing <br /> quality, to city residents when making appointments to all <br /> offices and positions of employment in the City of South Bend. <br /> Section 2 . A notice of any job opening within the <br /> city shall be published in the local newspaper, and this notice <br /> shall include the job qualificiations and salary of the position <br /> to be filled. <br /> Section 3 .
