RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, REGARDING RESIDENCY OF <br /> CITY EMPLOYEES . <br /> WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council is desirous <br /> of obtaining quality employees for the City of South Bend, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the South Bend Common Council is also <br /> desirous that city employees be city residents , <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council <br /> of the City of South Bend, as follows : <br /> Section 1 . That the Mayor of the City of South Bend <br /> should give preference, where possible, and without sacrificing <br /> quality, to city residents when making appointments to all <br /> offices and positions of employment in the City of South Bend. <br /> Section 2 .
