Hojnacki January 8, 1975 <br />Director, Human Resources and <br />Economic Development <br />Mr. Roger Parent <br />President, South Bend Common Council <br />4th Floor County -City Bldg. <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. Parent: <br />The resolution concerning the advance of Housing and <br />Community Development funds is to authorize the City of South <br />Bend to apply for funds to maintain current programs and plan <br />for the implementation of the three year community development <br />program. This resolution will also allow the City of South Bend <br />to incur these costs between January 1, 1975 and the time the <br />advance funds are made available to us. These expenses are <br />currently being incurred by the Redevelopment Department. The <br />Redevelopment Department will be reimbursed for these expenses <br />when the advance funds become available. <br />The application for advancing funding contains no requirement <br />for submitting a budget. We are authorized to draw up to 10% of <br />our entitlement. ($354,700) but expect to draw only about <br />$149,000. <br />A breakdown: of the expected use of the $149,000 will be sent <br />to each councilman under separate cover. <br />Your consideration of this resolution will be appreciated. <br />Si ncerre1yy?, , <br />William P.
