1. Scope of Services for Updating <br />A. The CONTRACTOR will update the existing SANBORN coverage of SO. <br />BEND , comprising 2 volumes that were last updated in 1/71 (V]), 10/66 (V2) <br />B. The updating of the existing SANBORN maps is accomplished by an <br />on- the -spot inspection from an automobile or "on foot" from the sidewalk <br />of all properties within the existing mapped area within the CITY limits. <br />This work is performed by the CONTRACTOR'S experienced, specialized <br />field survey personnel and will be in keeping with the standards as <br />established by the SANBORN MAP COMPANY, INC. over 100 years. All changes <br />affecting major buildings will be noted - i.e. building outline, construction, <br />number of stories, use by occupancy, and house number along with new <br />street changes. Garage inspection has been eliminated since 1963 and <br />will be omitted unless specifically requested. However, for the new <br />construction picked up at this time all garages will be included. This <br />work will be in keeping with the existing format less certain fire <br />insurance construction details and water pipes that are not required by <br />CITY Departments. <br />C. With relation to demolitions for proposed urban renewal and new <br />highway construction, the CONTRACTOR will indicate with an "X" the <br />buildings demolished and will follow this procedure until final plans <br />for the area have been consummated. All other demolitions shall be <br />removed or in very concentrated demolition areas we will use the "X" <br />until the areas have been stabilized. The CONTRACTOR will also indicate <br />Vacant Structures with a "V" and Partially Vacant with a "PV" which in- <br />formation has become so critical in this day and age. <br />D. Upon completion, all map sheets will be updated and redrafted <br />in ink on our base map. This will provide the CITY with up -to -date in- <br />formdtion of its building stock and street configuration within the <br />- 2 - <br />
