AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OFSO.BEND AND SANBORN MAP COMPANY, INC. <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into as of this day of <br />, 19 , by and between the CITY of SO. BEND , hereinafter re- <br />ferred to as the "CITY ", represented by its Mayor, <br />and the SANBORN MAP COMPANY, INC., hereinafter referred to as the "CON- <br />TRACTOR ", represented by G. Greeley Wells, President. <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, the CITY has received grant funds from the United States <br />of America pursuant to the provisions of Title I of the Housing and <br />Community Development Act of 1974, such funds to be used for the development <br />of viable urban communities, to include decent housing, a suitable <br />living environment and the expansion of economic opportunities, principally <br />for persons of low and moderate income, and <br />WHEREAS, consistent with such needs it is necessary that the existing <br />SANBORN ATLASES of SO. BEND be updated and certain portions of the CITY <br />be mapped anew in order to complete the mapping of the CITY and <br />WHEREAS, accomplishment of the foregoing requires the engagement by <br />the CITY of a competent contractor and <br />WHEREAS, the SANBORN MAP COMPANY, INC. as evidenced by its experience <br />and close familiarity to the subject of this undertaking is such a <br />competent contractor. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the CITY and the CONTRACTOR for the considerations <br />and under the conditions set forth do agree as follows: <br />
