Taylor, City Engineer, <br />to Mr. Hazinski, in which he states that he agrees wholeheartedly with <br />Mr. Hazinski's recommendation concerning parking regulatM.ons on Diamond <br />Avenue. <br />Following these recommendations, the elimination of parking as outlined <br />in the report was approved by the Board. <br />RE=J TO M&USFER DS• FIRE DEPAR A+1E T <br />The Fire Department having submitted to the Board of Public safety a <br />request to transfer $1,500 from Account Q 11 Personal to Q-221 Electrical <br />for the purpose of paying delinquent electric bills and further having <br />submitted a request to transfer $2,500 from Acoount Q-11 Personal to <br />Account Q-224Water for the purpose of paging for delinquent water bills, <br />same is hereby approved by the Board of Public Safety and the necessary <br />Ordinance will be presented to the Common Council for approval which <br />Ordinance shall be prepared by the Legal Department. <br />UILDI G DEPARTP NT - SUB-STANDSUB-STANPAQ D VIS ONHEARINGS) <br />Comes now Mr. Parker, attorney, representing Mrs. Harry Nicodemis, <br />owner of property located at 1217 S. Rush Street with a report that <br />repairs are now being made on this property, except the painting. <br />11r. Grabarz, also present, was not aware_ of such repairs. <br />Councilman Walter Glass, also present, was of the opinion that no.further <br />time should.be allowed for repair of this structure. <br />After hearing all who wished to be heard, it was the decision of the <br />Board to allow a continuance of two weeks before further action is <br />taken. <br />Comes now Mr. Gantz of the Industrial Savings & Loan Association, with <br />reference to property owned by Ivb?. and Mrs. Blad and located at 715 S. <br />Meade Street. Mr. Gantz informed the Board that there was a buyer for <br />this property who was willing to make the necessary repairs. He requested <br />a 30 day continuance to get the place rehabilitaded. <br />After hearing I,Zr. Gantz, it was the decision of the Board to allow a 30 <br />day continuance during which time M% Grabarz will check and report whether <br />sufficient progress has been made on rehabilitation to allow the owners <br />to proceed. <br />Comes now Otto Pozsgay, owner of property at 1302 Chapin Street, with a <br />progress report on repairs and/or clean-up of the property. <br />Mr. Pozsgay reported that he has been cleaning up the outside and will <br />concentrate on this phase before doing the necessary work on the interior. <br />lLr. Grabarz also informed the Board that this clean-up project has been <br />progressing satisfactorily and that Mr. Pozsgay had a permit for repairs <br />to the structure. <br />With reference to property owned by Samuel and Esther Caparell, located <br />at 2625 Linden Avenue, Mr. Grabarz informed the Board that Mr. Caparell <br />is now negotiating on repairs to this structure and a request for..a <br />continuance on this until October 13, 1964 was granted. <br />
