PETITION: STREET LIM ( ELECTRICAL DEPT.) <br />A Petition from residents of Hass Drive requesting the installation of <br />a street light on Hass Drive between Rose and Kettering was referred <br />to the Electrical Department for investigation and recommendation. <br />COMPIAINTj S MICHIGAN & GARS - YAPAIg, STREET G <br />Comes now Mr. Burke to advise the Board that his property located at <br />1023 S. Michigan Street is the subject of much vandalism and also that <br />additional street lighting might assist in avoiding the vandelism which <br />includes broken windows, slashed automobile tares, and other damage to <br />the building and neighboring area. <br />The Board referred this matter to the Police Chief for investigation <br />and also to the Electrical Department for investigation and recommenda- <br />tion. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: INSTALLATIONS <br />Following the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the following <br />installations were approved: <br />2 Hour Time Limit signs installed to cover 1802 S. Main Street. <br />PETITION: PARKING ON SAITLE FRCT,d OLIVE TO CHAPIN ( LULU CLINE SCHOOL) <br />A Petition from A.B.Z. Buffet Restaurant and others on W. Sample Street <br />requesting relief from parking problems in this vicinity was submitted <br />to the Board. <br />The Petition also states that many of the parking problems are caused <br />by students of the Lulu Cline School who park on the streets all day, <br />although there is sufficient off-street parking to accommodate them. <br />These parking problems have been discussed with the Traffic Engineer, <br />according to the Petition and relief is promised. <br />The Petition was accepted and referred to the Traffic Engineer for <br />attention. <br />REPORT: TRAFFIC ENGINEER PARKING ON SAMPLE MZMK OLIVE AND C N <br />Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, submitted a reper t to the Board as the <br />result of studies of parking on West Sample, south side of the street, <br />between ULive and Chapin. <br />Results of the studies show that more efficient and orderly flow of <br />traffic would result, certain types of accident would be eliminated <br />and present pedestrian exposure would be eliminated if parking could <br />be removed from the south side of the street. <br />The Traffic Engineer recommends that parking be prohibited on Sample Street <br />from Olive to Arnold on the south side and on both sides of Sample between <br />Arnold and the Pennsylvania Railroad spur line at the beginning of the <br />divided highway in the 1000 block of West Sample Street. <br />Following the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the change in <br />parking as.indicated in the report was approved. <br />REPORT: TRAFFIC ENGUfEER ( PARKING ON DIXIOND AVENUE) <br />Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, submitted a report and recommendation <br />to the Board recommending that parking be prohibited on the east side <br />of Diamond Avenue from Lincoln Way .Pest to a point approximately 200 <br />
