John Grabarz advised the Board that this was thT date set for a <br />hearing on property Located at 322 S. Chicago Street, owned by Mrs. <br />Elizabeth Molnar, <br />Mr. Grabarz informed the Board that a trailer, now occupied, had <br />been allowed to stand on this property and that two years ago Mrs. <br />Molnar was requested to find another location for the trailer. <br />To date this has not been done, and according to Mrs. Molnar, she <br />had another location for the trailer in Michigan but, because there <br />was a mortgage on the trailer nOW it could not be removed from its <br />present location. <br />Mr. Grabarz requested legal advice concerning this case. <br />After hearing Mr. Grabarz, Mr. DuComb, Chairman of the Board and, <br />City Attorney, advised Mr. Grabarz that he would discuss this case <br />with him after the Board meeting in order to familiarize himself <br />0 with the entire history. <br />Upon the request of Mr. West, Building Commissioner, the Board approved <br />attendance at the National Convention of American Society of Sanitary <br />Engineers, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania of Mr. Elwyn A. Fienhold, Chief. <br />Plumbing Inspector. <br />The Board was informed that there are sufficient funds in the budget <br />to cover the cost of this trip. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: INSTAL�ATIOI,�S <br />At the request of the Board, Mr. Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, <br />investigated a request petitioned by residents of the area to <br />install adequate warning signs on Wooderest at Twyekenham to protect <br />the children. <br />As a result of this petition, Mr. Hazinski submitted a report in <br />which he advised the Board that many motorists think this is a through <br />street and unnecessary vehicular travel is the result. <br />Signs indicating this to be a Dead End street as well as a sign to - <br />"Watch For Children" have been ordered installed. <br />The Board approved the installations. <br />Following the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the following <br />installations were approved: <br />2 Hour time limit signs installed to cover 2637 W. Sample Street. <br />2 Hour time limit signs on west side of 700 Arnold Street, alongside <br />1201 W. Dunham. <br />No Parking 8:30 - 9:30 A.M. and from 2:30 - 3:30 P.M. on south side <br />of 500 E. Ewing Avenue in front of Riley High School - School Bus <br />parking. <br />Stop Sign installed on southwest corner of Parkway at Lombardy Drive. <br />Yield sign installed at corner, N.E., of Parkway at Lombardy Drive. <br />TRAFFIC ENGT M: ATMD CO�CE <br />Permission was given to Clem Hazinski to attend the Governorts Safety <br />Conference and to serve on an Engineerts Panel. The Conference will <br />be held in Indianapolis and Mr. Hazinski will attend on September 29, <br />1964. <br />
