POLICE DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT <br />A report from the Police Department for the month of April, 1964 was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />r <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: TRAFFIC SIGN INSTALLATIONS <br />Following the request of Clem Hazinski and the recommendation of Clem <br />Hazinski the installations listed below were approved: <br />2 Hour Time Limit signs installed on north side of 100 W;• Donald Street. <br />Yield signs installed on Oakdale, both sides, at York Road. <br />Yield signs installed on Peachtree Lane, both -sides, at Rosemary Lane. <br />.Stop signs installed on Belmont at Sunnyside for Sample Street Bridge <br />Detour of Eddy Street. <br />Stop signs installed on Bronson at Sunnyside, northeast and northwest <br />corners for Eddy Street Detour. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: STREET LIGHT REQUEST ( BENDIX ) <br />A request for a street light installation on an e tsxi i'ng pole at corner <br />of Westmoor and Iowa Streets was submitted by Bendix Corporation, examined <br />and referred to the Electrical Department for investigation and recommen- <br />dation. ' <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT: SUB STANDARD DIV ( BEARI�i� ) <br />Comes now John Grabarz, Supervisor of the Sub -Standard Division with <br />reference to property located at 510 E. Ohio Street. Also appearing <br />before the Board was Mrs. Bessie Snowden, owner of the above -described <br />property,to show cause why property has not been brought up to standard. <br />The dwelling was condemned on April 29, 1964. <br />Mrs. Snowden advised that she wished to bring property up to standard <br />and had already started such rehabilitation work. Mr. Grabarz also <br />advised the Board that Mrs. Snowden had produced signed contracts for <br />the repair work. <br />After hearing Mrs. Snowden and Mr. Grabarz, and being advised that Mrs. <br />Snowden was leaving town for her home in California this week, it was <br />ruled that Mr. Grabarz inspect the property on Friday, June 19, 1964 and <br />if, in his opinion,.the work is satisfactory, he will so advise the Board <br />and the condemnation order will be lifted. <br />Comes now Mrs. Lottie King with reference to property owned by her at <br />234 E. Sample Street to show cause why this property has not been <br />brought up to standard as ordered. <br />Mr. Grabarz advised the Board that the inspectors could not make a proper <br />inspection because the house was so filled with debris that it was impossible <br />to enter sane of the areas. Mr. Grabarz had photographs to substantiate <br />his statements. <br />After hearing Mrs. King and Mr. Grabarz the Board ruled that Mrs. King <br />have house cleaned of all debris so that a proper inspection can be made <br />and that this be completed no later than July 13, 1964. If this house <br />is not entirely cleaned and vacant by this date it will be demolished. <br />Comes now Mr. Jesse L. Dickinson who submitted a letter to the Board <br />with reference to a dwelling located at 1032 Talbot Avenue. Mr. Dickinson <br />advised the Board that this is an estate and that an inadequate sum of <br />money has been put in escrow to bring property up to standard. <br />Mr. Dickinson advised the Board that it is the desire of the parties of <br />
