be needed, the meter would be removed. <br />Permission granted. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: TRAFFIC SIGNS <br />The following installations were approved, following the recommendation <br />of the Traffic Engineer: <br />No Parking signs installed on east side of 800 block of Notre Dame <br />Avenue at each end of yellow zone across from Fire Station at 803. <br />Additional No Parking This Side sign installed on east side of <br />Mishawaka Avenue. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: STREET LIGHT INSTALLATION <br />Following the recommendation of Eugene Radecki, Superintendent of the <br />Electrical Department, the following installation was approved: <br />1 - 4000 lumen street light at the alley intersection of 1121 <br />Campeau Street. <br />This is in response to a Petition filed with the Board. <br />RE: PETITIONS FOR STREETLIGHTS ( CONTINUED L <br />Action on the following Petitions for street lights was held up for <br />one week: Petition for light at Washington &venue and Liberty Street. <br />Petition for light Washington Avenue and:Kentu.cky: :Sts Petition for <br />light one-half block north of Washington on Falcon Street. <br />Mr.;Radecki informed the Board that many of the light shades are broken <br />and that it is difficult to know whether there would be sufficient <br />light from the lights already installed when the shades are replaced. <br />Mr. Radecki also informed the Board that the Indiana & Michigan Electric <br />Company intends to improve this area and replace the broken lights. <br />The Board ruled that action be held up, pending replacement of the <br />existing broken light shades by I & M. <br />This will be considered_on May 11, 1964. <br />Mr. Kenneth Augustine appeared to speak on behalf of additional lighting <br />to discourage dumping on the property which takes place at night when <br />the area is dark. <br />PETITION: REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHT <br />A Petition -from residents on Fellows Street request s.installat_ion of <br />a street light on east side of Fellows at the alley of Monroe at Pole <br />J259-254. <br />The Petition was referred to the Electrical Department.for investigation <br />and recommendation. <br />PETITION: STREET LIGHT INSTALLATION <br />Following the recommendation of the Electrical Department Superintendent, <br />the following installation was approved: <br />1 - 4000 lumen light at 1035 Canterbury Drive. <br />PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE: WEIGHTS & MEASURES ( STATION WAGON ) <br />Permission was givdn to the Department of Weights & Measures to advertise <br />for a station wagon. Sealed bids will be opened on May 18, 1964. <br />
