Mr. Blad advised the Boarrd that he has just been released frbm the <br />hospital and that he has started to board up the windows in the <br />building. <br />After hearing Mr. Blad and Mr. Grabarz, the Board ruled that the <br />hearing be continued until March 9, 1964 at vh ich time all windows <br />and doors must be boarded up. <br />With reference to property owned by Carrie Ford, located at 1610 <br />Longley Street, Mr. Grabarz advised the Board that he has been <br />unable to locate the owner and now requests permission to advertise <br />for bids to demolish structural. - <br />The Board, being assured by Mr. Grabarz that every means had been <br />taken to locate the owner is directed to advertise for bids to <br />demolish property. <br />OPENING OF BIDS: DEMOLISH PROPERTY <br />With reference to bids which were opened by the Sub -Standard Division <br />of the Building Department -at 9:30 A.M. this date in accordance <br />with past regulations to demolish a structure located at 107 N. <br />Carlisle Street, the Board continued a decision on this in order <br />to examine the bids received. <br />Case continued for one week. <br />PETITION: STREET LIGHT ( ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ) <br />With reference to a Petition of numerous property owners for the <br />installation of an additional street light on tfte:north side of East <br />Ewing Avenue approximately 40 to 50 feet west of Ironwood Drive, <br />the Board having requested Mr. Radecki of the Electrical Department <br />to investigate said request and Mr. Radecki having informed the Board <br />that in his opinion the installation of this light does not exist, said <br />Petition is hereby rejected. <br />PETITION: STREET LIGHT ( ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ) <br />A Petition for a street light on Chicago Street between Huron and <br />Ford Streets signed by numerous residents of S. Chicago Street was <br />submitted to the Board. <br />The Board referred the Petition to the Electrical Department for <br />investigation and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />HEALTH DEPARTMEM' REPRESENTATIVE <br />Mr. Stephen Molnar, representating the Health Department, reported to <br />the Board that, as of this date, grocery stores and meat markets will <br />be inspected by Health Department Inspectors. <br />REPORT: RE: FOOD HANDLERS ( HEALTH DEPARTMENT ) <br />Mr. DuComb submitted a verbal report with reference to the Health <br />Department's present policy concerning food handlers in restaurants <br />whereby it is no longer a requirement that such food handlers submit <br />to an examination. It is now the responsibility of the employer to <br />check food handlers for disease. <br />Mr. DuComb informed the Board that, according to Dr. How, the State had <br />
