232 <br />1 4000 lumen street light in the 2160 Block of Sampson, between <br />Fox and Donald Streets. <br />1 4000 lumen street light at 1121 Blaine Ave. <br />l- 4000 lumen street light at 3025 Hartzer St. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT j PETITION FOR STREET LIGHTS)_ <br />A petition from Mr. and Mrs. M. Weesner of 1223 E. Donald Street and <br />other residents on Donald Street, requests the installation of more <br />street lights on East Donald Street between Leer and Marine Streets. <br />The Petitioners also request an alley light in the alley of Donald Street. <br />and Fox Street. <br />The Petition was referred to Nicholas Horvath, Electrical Department <br />Superintendent, for investigation and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placedon file. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER ATTEND TRAFFIC MAINTENANCE SCHOOL <br />The Traffic Engineer, Clem Hazinski, was granted permission to send <br />three men from his Department to attend the Marbleite Traffic Signal <br />Maintenance School in Indianapolis, Indiana from October 1 through <br />October 2, 1963. <br />CEMETERY VANDALISM - <br />The Board has been advised that vandalism has: -occurred in Bowman <br />Cemetery, Miami Street, and several grave markers have been overturned. <br />The Board requested the Clerk to notify the Police Department of this <br />and request strict surveillance of bowman Cemetery and other cemeteries <br />so that this vandalism will be stopped. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT - ATTEND CONFERENCE CAPT. HANS <br />At the request of Chief Harman, the goard granted permission fQr Captain <br />-Hans of the Police Department to attend a Juvenile Probation Officers <br />Conference at Muncie, Indiana on October 2, 3 and 4th, 1963. <br />HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE <br />Mr. Stephen Molnar of the Health Department attended the meeting as a <br />representative of the Health Department. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT( APPLICATIONS <br />An application from Robert Raymond Barna for the Police Department was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />An application for the Police Department from Lorenzo -Hill for the <br />Police Department was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />MEETING RECESSED <br />The meeting of the Board of Public Safety was recessed at 10:35 to <br />reconvene at 11:30 in order to hold a Hearing on a Sub -Standard matter. <br />HEARING: BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( J. BUCZKOWSKI <br />The Board of Public Safety reconvened at 11:30 A.M. in order to hold <br />a hearing with reference to a sub -standard dwelling owned by Mr. John <br />Buczkowski, located at 918 N. Brookfield Street. <br />Comes Now John Buczkowski, owner of the above -described property, to <br />show cause why the dwelling located at 918 N. Brookfield Street has not <br />been brought up to standard as ordered. <br />Mr. Molnar of the Health Department stated that the Health Department <br />has received repeated -calls from neighbors because of rats on the <br />
