POLICE DEPARTMENT ( ACCIDENT REPORT ) <br />A non -injury -accident report from Officer DeMeyer was accepted by <br />the Board and ordered'placed on .file. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT ( LETTER OF COMPLIMENT - MISS V. GUTHRIE ) <br />A copy of a letter addressed to Police Chief Harman was submitted <br />to the Board by Miss Virginia Guthrie. <br />Miss Guthrie praised the Police.Department as a whole and more <br />Particularly Detective Sergeant Frank Pinter and Officers Richard <br />Mattasit and James VerHogen for their efficiency and courtesy ,in <br />assisting in locating and returning her car which had been stolen. <br />The Board -wished to go on record in joining Miss Guthrie in <br />complimenting the Police Department and the specific officers <br />mentioned by Miss Guthrie for their courtesy and efficiency. <br />The letter was ordered placed on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ( STREET LIGHTS ) <br />Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath* the following <br />installations were approved: <br />1 - 4000 lumen street light installed at the intersection of <br />Jackson and'Washington. <br />1 - 4000 lumen overhead street light at 646 E. Fairview. This <br />will replace one 2500 lumen underground light at the same <br />location which could not be repaired and was removed. <br />A Petition from Mrs. Goldie Freeman and other residents on Donald <br />Street and Fox Street for a street light installed in rear alley <br />of 1730 E. Donald Street was denied. It is not the policy of <br />the Boardto install alley lights. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPCRTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were aceepted and ordered placed on <br />file. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BOND ( SCHROFF ) <br />A Bond for Special Police Officer Garwood Schroff was approved and <br />ordered placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT (-APPLICATION ) <br />An application for the Police Department from Louis Anthony Rodino <br />was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />REPORT: WEIGHTS & MEASLRES <br />A report for the month of March from the Department of Weights & <br />Measures was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARD DIVISION ( HEARINGS ) <br />Comes now John Grabarz, Director of the Sub -Standard Division of the <br />Building Department.and reports that Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boney,.owners <br />of property located at 2127 Merry Avenue had been directed to appear <br />before the Board to show cause why they had failed to make repairs <br />as directed by the Sub -Standard Division. <br />Mr. Boneyl who was present, advised the Board that he was attempting <br />to make the necessary repairs to the property. <br />
