No <br />bond required. <br />SPECIAL POLICE: CONTINUATION CERTIFICATE ( VAN KIRK ) <br />A Continuation Certificate for Special Police bond for Maria Van Kirk; <br />special police officer employed by Gilbert's was approved and ordered <br />placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPART_ T REPORT <br />A Report from the Police Department for the month of April, 1965 was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: APPLICATION <br />An application for the Fire Department from Dean Russell Jester was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: INSTALLATIONS <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, the following installations <br />and changes in traffic signs were approved: <br />Install Stop signs on Sample Street at Northside Boulevard. Leave the <br />present Stop signs on Northside. Attach 4-Way Stop plates to all Stop <br />signs. <br />Replace the 3 Trio Hour time limit signs with 1 hour signs on north <br />side of Fox from Miami to the first alley west. <br />Remove the One Hour signs and posts from 1906 S. Franklin. Remove the <br />Three hour signs and posts from the west side of Franklin across from <br />1906 S. Franklin Street. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: TRAFFIC DIRECTOR RECMENDATION ( REMOVAL OF <br />PARKING METERS ) <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director, and the <br />approval of the City Engineer, the Board approved the removal of five <br />parking meters from the west side of the 300 block Lincoln Way East <br />between Wayne and the first alley to the north. <br />Studies indicate a low percentage of occupancy at this location, according <br />to Mr. Hazinski's report, and since a service station is to be constructed <br />there and curb cuts are to be made, it is recommended that the remaining <br />curb space between Wayne and the first alley west become a No Parking <br />zone. <br />This action was approved by the Board. <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director, and the <br />approval of the City Engineer, the Board approved the removal of six <br />parking meters on the south side of the 100 block East Wayne Street from <br />Michigan to the ist intersection alley. This was necessitated because <br />of the installation of curb cuts on the south side of the 100 block of <br />East Wayne Street. <br />
