39 <br />2 /24 /7 0 <br />1205 W. Colfax: It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried <br />that this matter be continued until March 2, 1970, and that the <br />Sub -Standard Division be instructed to advise the owners that if <br />evidence of a private contract is not presented, bids for demo- <br />lition will be sought by the Board. <br />4035 S. Michigan: It was reported that there is an agreement to <br />purchase this property, and a move was made, seconded and unanimously <br />carried to continue this matter until April 6, 1970 to allow time <br />for the consumation of the proposed sale. <br />301 Hydraulic Ave.: The owner, Richard Muesse.l, appeared before <br />the Board. A letter filed this date with the Board from the <br />Building Commissioner was read stating that the structure is a <br />fire hazard and is unsafe within the meaning of the Basic Code. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried to continue this case until <br />March 2, 1970. <br />REQUEST FOR OWNERS OF SUB -STANDARD PROPERTIES TO APPEAR,BEFORE THE <br />BOARD ON MARCH 9, 1970. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board <br />approved the request for owners of the following properties to <br />appear before the Board on March 9, 1970 to show cause, if any <br />they have, why such properties should not be demolished: <br />Owners: <br />1132 S. Franklin Street Anna Bellakovich <br />c/o C . J . Be 1 lakov ich <br />1141 S. Michigan Street George & Victoria Bernath <br />751 S. Michigan Street Mrs. Felix J. Boadway <br />509 S. Walnut Street Rex E. & Caroline C. Moore <br />513 S..Walnut Street Mrs. Doris Uitdenhowen, Adm. <br />for Est. of Margaret Murray <br />And the Clerk of the Board is directed to so notify said owners <br />by certified mail. <br />SIMPSON BUILDING SUPPLY CO. -- Request to place temporary mobile <br />home office. <br />Upon recommendation of the Building Commissioner, it was moved, <br />seconded and unanimously carried that the Simpson Building Supply <br />Co. be granted permission to place a temporary mobile home office <br />at property at 1535 S. Main. This office is to be used to carry <br />on established business from portion of warehouse that remains <br />after fire until such time as the site is cleared and new facili- <br />ties constructed. <br />DORE WRECKING CO., Demolition -Engineers. A letter of introduction <br />requesting placement on bidder's list for demolition work was filed <br />with the Board. <br />STREET LIGHTING -- LINCOLN WAY WEST <br />Upon recommendation (by letter filed with the Board) of the City <br />Rngirieer it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that <br />street lighting on Lincoln Way West from Chapin Street to the <br />City Limits be improved at an additional cost to the City of <br />$229.20 per month or $2750.40 per year. <br />TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION OF BENDIX DRIVE AND PRAST BOULEVARD <br />Letter of recommendation received from Traffic Engineer was filed <br />with the Board with action to be taken on March 2, 1970. <br />
