1/26/70 <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that bid be <br />awarded to Midwest Demolition Corporation for demolition of <br />the structure at 119 North Jackson Street on its low bid of <br />$233.00. <br />1215 E. Bissell <br />A & J Demolition $650.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Corporation 263.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company 582.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Company 49.8.00 <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that bid be <br />awarded to Midwest Demolition Corporation for the demolition <br />of the structure at 1215 E. Bissell on his low bid of $263.00 <br />934 E. Sorin Street <br />A & J Demolition $125.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company 458.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Company 467.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Corporation 459.00. <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that bid be <br />awarded to the A & J'Demolition Company for the demolition of <br />the structure at 934 E. Sorin Street on his low bid of $125.00. <br />CONCERNED PARENTS OF THE SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY <br />The Clerk of the Board was instructed to address a letter to <br />the Concerned Parents of the Southeast Community requesting <br />that they submit a written report of.an occurrance, January <br />15, 1970, and their objection of the way in which it was <br />handled. This,instruction was the result of a letter from <br />Concerned Parents of the Southeast Community requesting an <br />investigation and hearing, for the suspension of,the four <br />officers involved (badge number's 175,226,220 and 252) until <br />the matter can be completely cleared up. <br />REQUEST OF MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSN. TO CONDUCT "TAG DAY" DOWNTOWN <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the.Board <br />approved the request of the Muscular Dystrophy Associations of <br />American, Inc. to conduct a "Tag Day" in the downtown business <br />district on March 14, 1970. <br />STREET LIGHTING - HARTER HEIGHTS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, a request <br />concerning street lighting in a section of Harter Heights was <br />ordered filed and referred to the.Engineering Department for <br />review and recommendation. <br />SEWER SERVICE TO APARTMENT COMPLEX ON ROSEMARY LANE <br />It was the recommendation of the City Engineer that the City <br />install a lift station and sewer adequate to handle the entire <br />area with Portage Realty Corp. contributing the $8,360 toward <br />this construction. The City could then set up a connection <br />charge to the sewer in order to recover their investment as <br />others hook onto the sewer. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of <br />the City Engineer. The B,Dard then approved the contract for <br />engineering services with Pharis-Kaser & Associates for the <br />design of the Rosemary Lane sanitary sewer and lift station. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
