Wenger -:Elsie Polav Upon motion made seconded 'and <br />carried, the Board authorized the Sub -Standard -Department to <br />seek bids for the demolition of the structure at 405 Wenger. <br />CONTINUATIONS: <br />1713 W. Washington Street Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried the Board authorized the Sub -Standard Department to <br />seek bids for the demolition,of this structure. <br />111 N. Jackson Street Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the Board authorized the Sub -Standard Department to <br />seek bids for the demolition of this structure. <br />730-732 South'.Bend Avenue Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the matter of the structures at 730-732 South Bend <br />Avenue be continued until February 2, 1970, to permit the. <br />owner an opportunity to sell the property. <br />5217 S. Walnut Street James Cole, 418 S. Walnut, owner of <br />the property at 5212 S. Walnut appeared at this meeting and <br />gave status report on the property. - Upon motion made, seconded. <br />and carried the matter of this structure is to be continued <br />for 90 days to permit the owner an opportunity to make repairs <br />with the.condition that the structure is kept closed at all <br />times. <br />Request for owners of sub -standard properties to appear be -- <br />fore the Board 2/9/70 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board <br />approved the request for owners of'the following properties <br />to appear before the Board on February 9, 1970, to show cause, <br />if any they may have, why such -properties should not be demolished: <br />Marie'Nagy 217 N. Walnut Street <br />Bernard R & Mary C. Donahue 1205 W. Colfax Avenue <br />G.W. Benson & Mary E. Benson 3707 Belle Vista <br />(Deceased) <br />And the Clerk is directed to so notify said owners by certi- <br />fied mail. <br />BIDDING EXPENSE <br />The Clerk was instructed to let the minutes show that $50, in <br />cash, was given to Bryant Excavating Company, by Mr.- Davis, of <br />A & J Demolition Company for bidding expense in connection with <br />property located at 1820 S. Taylor and 421-423 S. William Street. <br />Mr.•Davis-received a private contract from the owners of the <br />property after -the property had been posted for bids'the the <br />Board, and Bryant Excavating Company was the low bidder. <br />Demolition Bids Opened <br />This being the date set, bids were opened for demolition of the <br />following properties. Non collusion affidavits were found to <br />be proper. Bids were: <br />119 North Jackson <br />A & J Demolition Company $287.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company 279.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Company 281.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Corporation 233.00 <br />
