1/26/70 405 E. Wenger -:Elsie Polav Upon motion made seconded 'and carried, the Board authorized the Sub -Standard -Department to seek bids for the demolition of the structure at 405 Wenger. CONTINUATIONS: 1713 W. Washington Street Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board authorized the Sub -Standard Department to seek bids for the demolition,of this structure. 111 N. Jackson Street Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board authorized the Sub -Standard Department to seek bids for the demolition of this structure. 730-732 South'.Bend Avenue Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter of the structures at 730-732 South Bend Avenue be continued until February 2, 1970, to permit the. owner an opportunity to sell the property. 5217 S. Walnut Street James Cole, 418 S. Walnut, owner of the property at 5212 S. Walnut appeared at this meeting and gave status report on the property. - Upon motion made, seconded. and carried the matter of this structure is to be continued for 90 days to permit the owner an opportunity to make repairs with the.condition that the structure is kept closed at all times. Request for owners of sub -standard properties to appear be -- fore the Board 2/9/70 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request for owners of'the following properties to appear before the Board on February 9, 1970, to show cause, if any they may have, why such -properties should not be demolished: Marie'Nagy 217 N. Walnut Street Bernard R & Mary C. Donahue 1205 W. Colfax Avenue G.W. Benson & Mary E. Benson 3707 Belle Vista (Deceased) And the Clerk is directed to so notify said owners by certi- fied mail. BIDDING EXPENSE The Clerk was instructed to let the minutes show that $50, in cash, was given to Bryant Excavating Company, by Mr.- Davis, of A & J Demolition Company for bidding expense in connection with property located at 1820 S. Taylor and 421-423 S. William Street. Mr.•Davis-received a private contract from the owners of the property after -the property had been posted for bids'the the Board, and Bryant Excavating Company was the low bidder. Demolition Bids Opened This being the date set, bids were opened for demolition of the following properties. Non collusion affidavits were found to be proper. Bids were: 119 North Jackson A & J Demolition Company $287.00 O'Neal Trucking Company 279.00 Bryant Excavating Company 281.00 Midwest Demolition Corporation 233.00
