Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, appeared before the Board and the <br />following matters were taken up. <br />1820 S. Taylor. Mr. Adamson reported nothing further has been done to re- <br />habilitate this structure. Upon motion made seconded and carried, the mat- <br />ter was continued to January 12, 1970, and Mr. Adamson was directed to con- <br />tact the owner. <br />1209 S. Lafayette. Mr. Adamson stated the owner has done nothing to re- <br />habilitate this property as promised to the Board on October 20, 1969, and <br />that the property is in a worse condition, is open and has been vandalized. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Sub -Standards Director was <br />authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the premises. <br />120-122 S. Main St. <br />Goldie Oberlin - 145 E. Elder St. <br />Stanley Kandzierski - 702 S. Olive St. <br />John and Amy Ludlow - 412 E. Ohio St. <br />Harriet Lawson - 730-732 South Bend Ave. <br />Continental Homes of Indiana - 508 E. South St. <br />Virginia Bailey - 208 S. Chapin St. <br />And the Clerk was directed to so notify said owners by certified mail. <br />RECOMMENDATION OF PURCHASING DIRECTOR FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR <br />MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY <br />The Purchasing Director having reviewed the bids for janitorial services for <br />Municipal Services Facility for 1970, and having recommended to the Board that <br />a contract be awarded for a period of three months, the motion was made, <br />seconded and carried that the bids be referred to the City Controller for <br />further review. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3274 - ALLEY <br />BETWEEN MAIN AND MICHIGAN <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll for the <br />improvement of the alley between Main and Michigan Streets, from Bowman to <br />Calvert, by constructing a Class C, Type I pavement. The Clerk tendered <br />proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on <br />December 12 and December 19, 1969, which were read and found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been <br />received, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the assessment roll adopted <br />December 8, 1969, was in all things confirmed. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3275 - ALEEY <br />BETWEEN WAYNE STREET AND SUNNYMEDE AVENUE <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll for the <br />improvement of the alley between Wayne Street and Sunnymede Avenue, from <br />Sunnyside Avenue to the alley west, by constructing a Class C pavement, Type I. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri County News on December 12 and December 19, 1969, which were <br />read and found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been <br />received, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the assessment roll adopted <br />December 8, 1969, was in all things confirmed. <br />
