12/22/69 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />J. W. Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, appeared before the Board and the <br />following matters were taken up. <br />412 E. Ohio Street. Mr. Adamson reported the occupants of this house have <br />now been relocated and the property can be demolished. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the matter was continued one week. <br />214 Angela Blvd, Mr. Adamson reported the owners of this property are <br />rehabilitating it and the work is proceeding satisfactorily. It was moved, <br />seconded and carried that the matter be continued indefinitely, and the <br />Sub -Standards Director was directed to keep the property under surveillance. <br />1318 Hillcrest. Mr. Adamson reported nothing has been done to rehabilitate <br />this structure but the owners have it closed and that they intend to repair <br />it. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued in- <br />definitely, and the Sub -Standards Director was directed to keep the property <br />under surveillance. <br />217 Woodside. Carroll St. <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that the request of the Sub -Standards <br />Director for the above named to appear before the Board at 10:00 A.M. on <br />January 5, 1970, to show cause, if any they have why the said -structures <br />should not be demolished. <br />AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION <br />ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 3306 - PORTIONS OF JEFFERSON STREET- DEPARTMENT <br />OF REDEVELO PMENT <br />Area Plan Commission recommends favorably to the Board the vacation of <br />portions of Jefferson Street, in La6alle -Park, and the Board, upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, adopts Resolution No. 3306, 1969, as follows: <br />"RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the <br />following: <br />The north 20 feet of and the south 20 feet of Jefferson Street <br />between the west line of Bendix Street and the East line of <br />the north -south alley between Bendix Street and Liberty Street; <br />also, between the west line of Chicago Street and the east <br />line of the north -south alley between Chicago Street and <br />Sheridan Avenue. <br />All of Jefferson Street between the west line of the north - <br />south alley between Bendix Street and Liberty Street and the <br />east line of Liberty Street; also, between the west line of <br />Dundee Street and the east line of the north -south alley be- <br />tween Kentucky Street and Dundee Street; also, between the west <br />line of the north -south alley between Dundee Street and <br />Kentucky Street and the east line of Kentucky Street; also, <br />between the west line of Lake Street and the east line of the <br />north -south alley between Lake Street and Falcon Street; and <br />also, between the west line of the north -south alley between <br />Lake Street and Falcon Street and the east line of Falcon <br />Street. <br />1 <br />[l <br />
