Midwest Wrecking Company 584.00 <br />Vanek Excavating Company 650.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Company 519.00 <br />There being no funds available for demolition at the present time, it was <br />moved, seconded and carried that a letter of intent be sent to Bryant Ex- <br />cavating Company that contract will be awarded to them as the low bidder in <br />1970 upon availability of funds. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - REQUEST FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS <br />In response to request of the Building Department for permission to transfer <br />funds to depleted accounts so that a payment of $5.00 might be made to the <br />Plumbing Examination Board and $51.00 might be expended for polaroid film, the <br />City Controller advised such expenditures may be made from the Building <br />Demolition Contingent and Repair Fund, and moved that the Building Department <br />be authorized to make such expenditures from the Building Demolition Contingent <br />and Repair Fund. The motion was seconded and carried. The request for transfer <br />of funds was therefore denied. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3265"(AMENDED) - CLYDE <br />STREET CONTINUED FROM it/T7/69—T <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the hearing on the assessment roll for <br />the improvement of Clyde Street, from Donald Street to Calvert, by constructing <br />a Class C pavement with curb repair, was further continued to December 1, 1969. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL- `PMPROV <br />CONTINUED FROM 10/17/ 9 <br />NT RESOLUTION NO. 3266 (AMENDED) - SANCOME AVE. <br />Hearing on the assessment roll for the improvement of Sancome Avenue, from LaPorte <br />Avenue to Lincolnway-West, having been continued from November 17; 1969, was <br />resumed. <br />Due to errors made in the assessment roll, it was moved by the City Attorney <br />that a new hearing date be set according to law. The motion was seconded and <br />unanimously carried. <br />December 15, 1969, was set as the date for re -hearing, and the Clerk was directed <br />to publish notice of the hearing in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County <br />News on November 28 and December 5, 1969. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - -VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3305 - SEARS, ROEBUCK 0 CO. <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll in Vacation <br />Resolution No. 3305, being for the vacation of: <br />The north -south alley between Lafayette Boulevard and Franklin <br />Street, from Monroe Street north to the north right of way line <br />of the first east -west alley. <br />The east -west alley between Monroe Street and -Western Avenue -from <br />Franklin Street east, to the west right of way line of the north - <br />south alley between Franklin Street and Lafayette Boulevard. <br />The east -west alley between Monroe Street and Western Avenue, from <br />Franklin Street west to the east right of way line of the north - <br />south alley between Franklin Street and William Street. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri County News on October 31, November 7 and November 14, 1969, which -were <br />read and found to be proper. No remonstrators having appeared and no written <br />remonstrances having.been received, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously <br />carried, the assessment roll was approved and the vacation resolution in all <br />things ratified and confirmed and the proceedings closed and the property de- <br />clared vacated. <br />
