11/10/69 <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3273 - FREMONT STREET <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll for the im- <br />provement of Fremont Street, from Washington to Lawton Street, by constructing <br />a Type C, Class IV pavement. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News which were read and found to be <br />proper. No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having <br />been received, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assess- <br />ment roll adopted by the Board on October 20, 1969, was in all things confirmed. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3287 - PRAST BLVD. <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll for the' <br />improvement of Prast Boulevard, from Johnson Street to Huey Street, by construct- <br />ing a Class C, Type IV pavement. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in <br />the South Bend Tribune and the Tri 'lounty News on October 24 and October 31, <br />1969, which were read and found to be proper. No remonstrators having appeared <br />and no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, the assessment roll adopted by the Board on October <br />20, 1969, was in all things confirmed. <br />FINAL CONFIRMATION - IMPRRVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3297 - HAWTHORNE DRIVE <br />For the improvement of Hawthorne Drive, from McKinley Drive to Colfax Avenue <br />b constructing a Class C � y g pavement with curb repair. <br />C.� No written remonstrances bearing the signatures of 51% or more of the resident <br />property owners on said street to be improved having been filed within 10 days <br />following the hearing on said improvement October 20, 1969, BE IT THEREFORE <br />RESOLVED by the Board of PUBLIC Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, that Improvement Resolution No. 3297, 1969, adopted July 28, 1969 <br />and confirmed August 20, 1969, be, and the same is in all things finally <br />confirmed and the improvement hereby ordered made. <br />PETITION FILED - TO VACATE CERTAIN PORTIONS OF JEFFERSON BOULEVARD <br />DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />The Department of Redevelopment, 120 W. LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, <br />files with the Board its petition to vacate portions of West Jefferson Boule- <br />vard, all within the LaSalle Park Urban Renewal project, as follows: <br />The north 20 feet of and the south 20 feet of Jefferson, between <br />the west line of Anthony (now Bendix) Street and the east line <br />of the north -south alley between Anthony and Berlin (now Liberty) <br />Street. <br />Jefferson, between the west line of the north -south alley between <br />Anthony (now Bendix) Street and Berlin (now Liberty) Street and <br />the east line of Berlin Street. <br />Jefferson, between the west line of Dundee Street and the east <br />line of the north -south alley between Kentucky and Dundee. <br />Jefferson, between the west line of the north -south alley between <br />Dundee and Kentucky and the east line of Kentucky Street. <br />Jefferson, between the west line of Lake Street and the east line <br />of the north -south alley between Lake Street and Falcon Street. <br />Jefferson, between the west line of the north -south alley between <br />Lake and Falcon and the east line of Falcon Street. <br />The north 20 feet of and the south 20 feet of Jefferson, between <br />the west line of Chicago and the east line of the north -south <br />alley between Chicago and Sheridan Avenue. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the <br />City Engineer for drawing of the area and for referral to Area Plan Commission <br />for recommendation to the Board. <br />
