11/10/69 HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3273 - FREMONT STREET This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll for the im- provement of Fremont Street, from Washington to Lawton Street, by constructing a Type C, Class IV pavement. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News which were read and found to be proper. No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assess- ment roll adopted by the Board on October 20, 1969, was in all things confirmed. HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3287 - PRAST BLVD. This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll for the' improvement of Prast Boulevard, from Johnson Street to Huey Street, by construct- ing a Class C, Type IV pavement. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri 'lounty News on October 24 and October 31, 1969, which were read and found to be proper. No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assessment roll adopted by the Board on October 20, 1969, was in all things confirmed. FINAL CONFIRMATION - IMPRRVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3297 - HAWTHORNE DRIVE For the improvement of Hawthorne Drive, from McKinley Drive to Colfax Avenue b constructing a Class C � y g pavement with curb repair. C.� No written remonstrances bearing the signatures of 51% or more of the resident property owners on said street to be improved having been filed within 10 days following the hearing on said improvement October 20, 1969, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Board of PUBLIC Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that Improvement Resolution No. 3297, 1969, adopted July 28, 1969 and confirmed August 20, 1969, be, and the same is in all things finally confirmed and the improvement hereby ordered made. PETITION FILED - TO VACATE CERTAIN PORTIONS OF JEFFERSON BOULEVARD DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT The Department of Redevelopment, 120 W. LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, files with the Board its petition to vacate portions of West Jefferson Boule- vard, all within the LaSalle Park Urban Renewal project, as follows: The north 20 feet of and the south 20 feet of Jefferson, between the west line of Anthony (now Bendix) Street and the east line of the north -south alley between Anthony and Berlin (now Liberty) Street. Jefferson, between the west line of the north -south alley between Anthony (now Bendix) Street and Berlin (now Liberty) Street and the east line of Berlin Street. Jefferson, between the west line of Dundee Street and the east line of the north -south alley between Kentucky and Dundee. Jefferson, between the west line of the north -south alley between Dundee and Kentucky and the east line of Kentucky Street. Jefferson, between the west line of Lake Street and the east line of the north -south alley between Lake Street and Falcon Street. Jefferson, between the west line of the north -south alley between Lake and Falcon and the east line of Falcon Street. The north 20 feet of and the south 20 feet of Jefferson, between the west line of Chicago and the east line of the north -south alley between Chicago and Sheridan Avenue. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the City Engineer for drawing of the area and for referral to Area Plan Commission for recommendation to the Board.
