<br />No one further having appeared either for or against said vacation, -and said
<br />deed having been examined and found sufficient, upon motion made, seconded and
<br />unanimously carried, the assessment roll was approved as adopted and the
<br />vacation resolution in all things ratified and confirmed, and the proceedings
<br />closed and the property declared vacated.
<br />ASSESSMENT ROLL HEARING - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3304 - O'BRIEN CORPORATION
<br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll in Vacation
<br />Resolution No. 3302, being for the vacation of:
<br />Brookfield Street, from Washington Street to Orange Street;
<br />and Colfax Street, from Brookfield Street east, to the first
<br />north -south alley east of Brookfield.
<br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the
<br />Tri.County News on October 10, October 17 and October 24, 1969, which were
<br />read and found to be sufficient.
<br />Mrs. Lenore Alexander, 212 N. Johnson Street, South Bend, Indiana, was present,
<br />stating that she was merely a spectator, having no objection to the vacation.
<br />No other persons having appeared and no remonstrances having been received,
<br />upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assesment roll was
<br />approved and the vacation resolution in all things ratified and confirmed,
<br />and the proceedings closed and the property declared vacated.
<br />"IN-KIND"RENT VOUCHERS - A.C.T.I.O.N., INC.
<br />"In -Kind" rent vouchers in the amount of $169.62 for Fire Station #5 and in the
<br />amount of $200.00 for Fire Station #7, for the month of October, 1969, from
<br />A.C.T.I.O.N., INC. were ordered filed.
<br />REQUEST FOR TRANSFER OF FUNDS - CITY ENGINEER
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of
<br />the City Engineer to transfer $100.00 from Account L-722 (motor equipment)
<br />to L-726 (other equipment). And the request was referred to the City Attorney
<br />for the preparation of aresoiotion for the consideration of the Common Council.
<br />STREET LIGHT REQUEST - CLUB DRIVE
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the request of Mrs, Robert
<br />M. Stowers, 2420 Club Drive, South Bend, Indiana for a street light on Club
<br />Drive, was referred to Traffic Engineering Department for investigation and
<br />recommendation to the Board.
<br />STREET LIGHT PETITION - FAIRWAY STREET
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the petition of Willis
<br />Perry, 803 Fairway, South Bend, Indiana, and 19 others for a street light
<br />on Fairway was referred to the Traffic Engineering Department for investi-
<br />gation and recommendation to the Board. -

<br />AND FRANKLIN
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously eapr3ed-,',the Board approved the
<br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering for the following street lighting
<br />in the area bounded by Sample Street, the Railroad west of Main Street,
<br />Ewing and Franklin Street:
<br />Replace 17 4000L INC with 7000L MV
<br />Install :_20 7000L MV
<br />Remove 6 4000L INC
<br />Remove 1 l000L INe
<br />at a cost to the City of $73.20 per month.
