<br />RING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3262 - A
<br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll for the
<br />improvement of the alley between Hollywood Place and Parkview, from Woodlawn
<br />to Oakwood, by constructing a Class C, Type I pavement. The Clerk tendered
<br />proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News
<br />on October 17 and October 24, 1969, which were read and found to be proper.
<br />No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been
<br />received, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assessment
<br />roll adopted by the Board on October 13, 1969, was in all things confirmed.
<br />ASSESSMENT ROLL HEARING - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3267 (AMENDED
<br />WEST CALVERT STREET
<br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll for the im-
<br />provement of West Calvert Street, from Pulaski to Brookfield, by constructing
<br />a Class C, Type IV pavement. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the
<br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on October 17 and October 24, 1969,
<br />which were read and found to be proper. No remonstrators having appeared and
<br />no written remonstrances having.been received, upon motion made, seconded
<br />and unanimously carried, the assessment roll adopted by the Board on October
<br />13, 1959, was in all things confirmed.
<br />CONTRACT AWARDED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3283 - FELLOWS STREET SEWER
<br />Clyde E. Williams & Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, and the Board
<br />having considered all bids submitted on October 27, 1969, for the improvement
<br />of Fellows Street, from Ireland Road to Walters Street and west to Walters
<br />Street approximately 500 feet, by constructing a sanitary sewer, decide
<br />that the bid of H. DeWulf Mechanical Construction, Inc., is the lowest and
<br />best bid received, and, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried,
<br />contract for said improvement was awarded to the H. DeWulf Mechanical
<br />Construction Company.

<br />Hearing on assessment roll in Vacation Resolution No. 3298, being for the
<br />vacation of:
<br />A iioctionvofaPeast Boulevard between Illinois Street on the
<br />east and the intersection of Sheridan Avenue and Ardmore Trail
<br />on the west, more particularly described as follows:
<br />A tract of land located in the east one-half of Section 4,
<br />Portage Township, beginning on the north line of Prast Boulevard
<br />as now exists at a point 3.02 feet west of the west line of
<br />Illinois Street; thence west on and along the north line of said
<br />Prast Boulevard a distance of 480.29 feet to its intersection
<br />with the southerly line of Ardmore Trail; thence south 63
<br />degrees 22 minutes west on and along said southerly line of Ardmore
<br />Trail a distance of 108.162 feet to its intersection with the
<br />easterly line of Sheridan Avenue; thence south on and along the
<br />east line of Sheridan Avenue a distance of 31.51 feet to its
<br />intersection with the south line of Prast Boulevard; thence east
<br />on and along said south line of Prast Boulevard a distance of
<br />576.98 feet to a point 3.02 feet west of the west line of Illinois
<br />Street; thence north parallel and 3.02 feet west of the west line
<br />of Illinois Street a distance of 80 feet to the place of beginning,
<br />containing an area of 44,929.25 square feet, more or less.
<br />having been continued from October 27, 1969, for receipt of a deed from
<br />the petitioner for a tract of land to relocate that portion of Prast Boulevard
<br />between Illinois Street and Sheridan Avenue being vacated by these proceed-
<br />ings, and such deed now having been -received, the hearing is resumed.
