I <br />217 W. Woodside. Mr. Hite, Controller of the Copco Steel and Engineering <br />Company, appeared before the Board, and stated that the structure should be <br />taken down and that they will demolish it. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, the owner was granted 60 days within which to demolish <br />the structure on condition that it be kept closed if 60 days is required; if, <br />however, the structure is demolished within two weeks from this date, then <br />closing up the structure will not be required. <br />620 South Bend Avenue. Richard Williams, Jr., did not appear as requested. <br />Upon::motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, Sub -Standards Director <br />was granted permission to advertise for bids for demolition of the structure. <br />1226 Western Avenue. Dr. Joseph Laskowski did not appear as requested. Mr. <br />Adamson requested permission to have the structure demolished as an emergency <br />matter. Upon.motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, permission was <br />granted for Sub -Standards Director to proceed immediately with demolition of <br />the structure at 1226 Western Avenue providing O'Neal Trucking Company is <br />willing to proceed with demolition under the existing contract awarded <br />June 9, 1969, at $1100.00. <br />116-118 Chapel Lane. Joan Palfi did not appear as requested. Mr. Adamson <br />C <br />stated the occupants have been relocated and the building is vacant. It was <br />moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the Sub -Standards Director be <br />authorized to seek bids for demolition of the structure at 116-118 Chapel Lane. <br />r-.� <br />740 Frances Street. Mr. Adamson reported the new owners have been given a list <br />of necessary repairs to bring the property up to standard, and requested a <br />continuance of two weeks. Upgn motion made, seconded and unanimously carried <br />the matter was continued two weeks. <br />9172 N. Hill Street.Mrs. Ethel Zalas appeared before the Board and stated she <br />hoped to determine this week whether they will repair the house or tear it <br />down. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was con- <br />tinued one week. <br />120-122.S. Chapin Street. Mr. Adamson reported this property is undergoing a <br />change in ownership. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the <br />matter was continued two weeks. <br />810 W. Jefferson Street. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />this matter was continued two weeks. <br />Request for owners of sub -standard properties to appear before Board 11/10/69 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the re- <br />quest of the Sub -Standards Director for the owners of the following sub- <br />standard properties to appear before the Board on November 10, 1969, to show <br />cause, if any they have, why such properties should not be demolished: <br />Myrtle Steele <br />Olive V. Green <br />Woodrow and Emma Rose <br />Dewitt Hunter, Gdn. Judith Ann James <br />(Estate of Henrietta.Harris) <br />Barbara S. Erb (c/o Chas. Hahn) <br />Amon L. and Alice Adel] Loy <br />Mr. and Mrs. Franklin H. Glasco <br />- 1319 W. Colfax Ave. <br />- 302 A. Keasey <br />- 701 Marietta St. <br />- 125 N. Adams St. <br />- 1022 S. Carroll <br />- 611 Kalorama <br />1301 29th St. <br />St. and 301 E. Keasey <br />235 E. Paris Street. Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Cathey appeared before the Board to <br />protest demolition of the structure at this address, stating they had had no <br />notice regarding demolition and that they want to repair it. Mr. Adamson <br />stated demolition contract has been awarded to O'Neal Trucking Company but that <br />the property has not yet been demolished. The motion was made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried to hold in abeyance the demolition of the premises at 235 <br />E. Paris Street if agreeable with O'Neal Trucking Company, and to continue the <br />matter 60 days, within which time the owners are to rehabilitate the property <br />and on the further condition that the property be kept closed during this time. <br />
