10/13/69 <br />This being the date set for hearing on the assessment roll, the Clerk tendered <br />proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on September <br />26 and October 3, 1969, which were read and found to be sufficient. <br />The following property owners appeared before the Board to remonstrate against <br />or to ask for a clarification of their assessments; Henry Williams, 61465 <br />Brightwood Lane, on behalf of Lulu Nunemaker, 4223:,,S. Main Street; Anthony <br />Spinsky, 4105 South'ittCH I§AN11Street; Mrs. Edith Mc4ueen, 4324 S. Michigah <br />Howard Fleming, 222 S; Coquillard; Morris W. Hoffman, 2610 S. Twyckenham; <br />Elmer Lucas, 4325 S. Main Street. <br />After hearing all persons who wished to be heard, the motion was made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried to continue the hearing for one week to amend the <br />assessment roll. <br />ING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT NO. 3247 - S. CARLIS <br />For the improvement of S. Carlisle Street, from Prairie Avenue to Indiana <br />Avenue, by constructing a Class C, Type III -A pavement with curb. <br />Hearing on the assessment roll having been continued from October 6, 1969, <br />and the improvement having now been completed to the satisfaction of the <br />consulting engineer, Clyde E. Williams & Associates, Inc., the motion was <br />made, seconded and carried that said assessment roll filed with the Board on <br />July 7, 1969, be in all things approved and confirmed. No property owners <br />further appeared. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3258 (AMENDED) - HARTMAN DRIVE <br />Clyde E. Williams & Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, files with.the <br />- Board its certificate of completion of the paving of Hartman Drive, from <br />Rosemary Lane to Dead End in accordance with the plans and specifications <br />therefor. <br />And the City Engineer files with the Board an -assessment roll, with the names <br />of the owners and a description of the property subject to be assessed, with <br />the amount of the prima facie assessment in the total sum of $16,645.15. <br />And the Board adopts a resolution accepting said assessment roll, and sets <br />9:30.A.M., on November 3, 1969, as the time when remonstrances will be heard <br />and when the owners of such real estate may -attend in person or by representa- <br />tive and be heard. <br />And the Clerk is directed to give notice of such hearing by publication in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on October 17 and October 24, 1969. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3261 - ALLE <br />D <br />Clyde E. Williams & Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, file with the <br />Board its certificate of completion of the paving of the alley between <br />Berkley Place and Inglewood Place, from Oakwood to Woodlawn in accordance with <br />the plans and specifications therefor. <br />And the City Engineer files with the Board an assessment roll, with the names <br />of the owners and a description of the property subject to be assessed;:,' with <br />the amount of the prima facie assessment in the total sum of $11,338.51. <br />And the Board adopts a resolution accepting said assessment roll, and sets <br />9:30 A.M., on November 3, 1969, as the time for hearing remonstrances against <br />said assessments and when the owners of such real estate may attend in <br />person or by representative and be heard. <br />And the Clerk is directed to give notice of such hearing by publication <br />in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on October 17 and October 24, <br />1969. <br />
