Associates, Inc., consulting engineers,:file with the <br />Board certificate of completion of the paving of the alley between Holly- <br />wood Place and Parkview Place, from Woodlawn Drive to Oakwood Drive in <br />accordance with the plans and specifications therefor. <br />And the City Engineer files with the Board an assessment roll, with the <br />names of the owners and a description of the property subject to be assessed, <br />with the amount of the prima facie assessment in the total sum of $9,822.69. <br />And the Board adopts a resolution accepting said assessment roll, and sets <br />9:30 A.M., on November 3, 1.969, as the time when it will hear and receive <br />remonstrances on said assessment roll and when owners of such real estate <br />may attend in person or by representative and be heard. <br />And the Clerk is directed to give notice of such hearing by publication in <br />the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on October 17 and October 24, <br />1969. <br />` <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3267 (AMENDED) <br />W. FOR FIRE STATIONS TO ACT AS <br />COLLECTION POINTS DURING ANNUAL DRIVE FOR FUNDS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board granted <br />permission to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 3005 S. Michigan Street, <br />South,Bend, Indiana, for the various fire stations to act as collection <br />points in connection with its annual fund drive November 16, 1969, with <br />the understanding that the boxes will be picked up by authorized members <br />of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and permission granted by the <br />Charitable.Solicitations Commission for the project. <br />REQUEST TO COVER PARKING METERS - MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of the Mental Health <br />Association of St. Joseph County, Inc., 426 N. Michigan Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, for permission to cover parking meters in front of 426 N. Michi.gan <br />was referred to the Traffic Engineer under City Ordinance 5102-69. <br />PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANTS TO SOUTH BEND POLICE AND FIRE <br />DFPARTMFNTS <br />Physical specifications for applicants to the South Bend Police and Fire <br />Departments were submitted to th6 Board by the Personnel Director. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued two weeks for <br />study. <br />NOTICE FROM INDIANA STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION OF HEARING RE: U.S.#20 BY-PASS <br />Notice of hearing at 7:30 P.M., November 13, 1969, from Indiana State <br />Highway Commission, 100 N. Senate Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, regarding <br />the recommended location for a 6.2 mile eastward extension of the South <br />Bend -Mishawaka U.S. #20 by-pass as proposed by the Indiana State Highway <br />Commission, was ordered filed. <br />
