<br />PETITION TO VACATE ALLEYS - MOSSBERG & COMPANY
<br />Petition to vacate the north -south alley between Tutt and Sample Streets
<br />and the east-d,test alley between Carroll and Fellows Streets was filed with
<br />the Board by attorney Jack Dunfee, on behalf of Mossberg & Company, 301 E.
<br />Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana, and five others, together with a deposit
<br />of $65.00 for costs, and, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried,
<br />was referred to the City Engineer for the preparation of a map of the area
<br />and for referral to the Area Plan Commission for study and recommendation
<br />to the Board.
<br />RENEWAL OF LEASE FOR FIRE STATION #5 - A.C.T.I.O.N., INC.
<br />Renewal of lease for Fire Station #5, 1000 Lincolnway East, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />by A.C.T.I.O.N., INC, for the period 10/1/69 to 10/1/70 was approved and
<br />executed by the -Board.
<br />RENEWAL OF LEASE FOR FIRE STATION #7 - A.C.T.I.O.N., INC.
<br />Renewal of lease for Fire Station #7, 811 E. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, by A.C.T.I.O.N., INC., for the period 10/1/69 to 10/1/70 was approved
<br />and executed by the Board.
<br />REQUEST TO SELL UNUSED SEATS - MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the
<br />request of F. M. Jessup, Manager of Morris Civic Auditorium, to sell 90 old
<br />and unneeded auditorium seats at private sale to the Masonic Lodge, North
<br />Liberty, Indiana, for $200.00.
<br />LEASES - MORR IS CIVIC AUT ITOR IUM
<br />Copies of leases with Universal Artists for "Guy Lombardo Concert" 10/3/69
<br />and with Lloyd Orrell for "Gospel Sing Concert" 9/26/69 were reviewed by
<br />the Board and ordered filed.
<br />REQUEST OF ST. MATTHEWS CATHEDRAL TO CLOSE 1009 BLOCK DUBAIL ON SCHOOL DAYS -
<br />DENIED
<br />After due consideration by the Board, upon the recommendation of the Traffic
<br />Engineering Department, the request of St. Matthews Cathedral to close the
<br />1000 block of Dubail Street, from Miami to Dale, from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
<br />on school days, was denied as being undesirable.
<br />REQUEST TO HOLD PARADE 10/3/69 - RILEY HIGH SCHOOL - APPROVAL CONFIRMED
<br />The request of Thomas Haas, 2701 Ersking Drive, South Bend, Indiana, on
<br />October 2, 1969, for Riley High School to hold a parade in connection with
<br />their home coming game on October 3, 1969, commencing at 6:00 P.M., from
<br />Riley High School and proceed'ng to School Field, was approved by the Board
<br />on October 3, 1969, and is hereby confirmed in these minutes and made of
<br />record.
<br />REQUEST TO HOLD PARADE 10/3/69 - WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL - APPROVAL CONFIRMED
<br />The request of Bruce Outlaw, 2701 Erskine Drive, South Bend, Indiana, on October
<br />2, 1969, for Washington High School to hold a parade in connection with
<br />their home coming game on October 3, 1969, commencing at 6:30 P.M., from
<br />Washington High School and proceeding to School Field, was approved by the
<br />Board on October 3, 1Q169, and is hereby confirmed in these minutes and made
<br />of record.
