9/29/69 <br />Fund to Account P-722 (motor equipment) in order to replace a motorcycle <br />damaged in an accident. <br />APPLICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT TO POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />The following applications for appointment to the South Bend Police Department <br />were filed with the Board and referred to the Personnel Director for further <br />processing: <br />Thomas Joseph Firtl Ronald David Robaska <br />Jack Joe Hanna Kenneth Dale Swain <br />Joyce Ann Harness Dennis Wayne Wetmore <br />Joan Veronica Petrowski <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Request for owners of sub -standard properties to appear before Board 10/6/69: <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of <br />J. W. Adamson, Director of Sub -Standards Division, for the following owners <br />of sub -standard properties to appear before the Board on October 6, 1969,' <br />to show cause why the following properties should not be demolished: <br />1123 E. Donald Street <br />225 S. Chapin Street <br />1534 S. Chapin Street <br />120-122 S. Chapin Street <br />1027 W. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, permission was <br />granted for Sub -Standards Director to advertise for bids for the demolition <br />of this property. <br />AREA PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION - ALLEYS - SEARS,ROEBUCK & CO. <br />Area Plan Commission recommends favorably for the vacation of: <br />the north -south alley,.between Lafayette Boulevard and Franklin <br />Street, from Monroe Street north, to the north right of way line <br />of the first east -west alley; the east -west alley between Monroe <br />Street and Western Avenue, from Franklin Street east, to the west <br />right of way line of the north -south alley between Franklin Street <br />and Lafayette Boulevard; and the east -west alley between Monroe <br />Street and Western Avenue, from Franklin Street west, to the <br />east right of way line of the north -south alley between Franklin <br />Street and William Street. <br />And the City Engineer is directed to prepare a vacation resolution. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3298 - BENDIX CORPORATION <br />Lloyd S.
