The Commission is holding in abey- <br />ance requests such as this to bring distant television signals into the heart <br />of major market communities, until such time as it has concluded its pend- <br />ing rule making proceeding. <br />PETITION FOR VACATION OF A PORTION OF HYDRAULIC AVENUE - MILL RACE INC <br />A petition to vacate a portion of Hydraulic Avenue and for abandonment of an <br />easement was filed by Mill Rape, Inc. through attorney Bruce Stewart along <br />with a deposit of $65400 for costs. Upon motion made, seconded and carried <br />the petition was referred to the Engineering Department for location of <br />utilities before forwarding to the Area Plan Commission for study and recom- <br />mendation to the Board. <br />LEASE RENEWAL - CRYSTAL CLEANERS <br />Crystal Cleaners having a five year option to renew lease on property at <br />Western and Chapin and properly executing said lease, the rent now increases <br />to $170.00 as agreed, per month commencing December 1, 1969. <br />REQUEST - ELLIS WOLLENSLAGLE - STREET MEETINGS <br />Rev. Ellis Wollenslagle requests permission to hold street meetings in the <br />Michigan -Paris area and to pass out religious literature and bible tracts. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, permission was given to hold street <br />meetings but permission denied to pass out literature. <br />REQUEST - C. W. SCHOHL - RE: RIVERSIDE DR SOUTH OF NAVARRE <br />C. W. Schohl requests the Board to make Riverside Drive south of Navarre and <br />east of Marion from the bend and up the hill, one-way so traffic may not <br />come down the hill. <br />this matter is referred to the engineering department and the Traffic Depart- <br />ment for a report and recommendation, after having been filed with the Board. <br />BID - MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM SPOT LIGHT - GRAND STAGE 1IGHTING CO <br />The bid of Grand Stage Lighting Company on the spot light for the Morris <br />Civic Auditorium having been received September 16, 1969 at 8:30 A.M., the <br />day after bids were opened as advertised, is being returned unopened to the <br />Grand Stage Lighting Company with an explanation that the bids were opened <br />September 15, 1969 at 10:00 A.M. and this bid arrived the next day and could <br />not be considered, <br />AGREEMENT - ELDON AND MARGARET CANDLER - AL'S BUTCHER BLOCK <br />City Engineer reports discussion with Attorney Dunfee regarding the prepara- <br />tion of agreement to amend the Candler's site development plans and add an <br />addition to their existing building on Ir eland Road. Mr. Dunfee is to sub- <br />mit final draft of agreement at a later date. <br />STREET LIGHT - OLD JAIL <br />4,000 INC OH WP removed during demolition and it is recommended by the Traffic <br />Engineer that this light be removed from our billing at least during demol- <br />ition and construction in this area. Upon motion made, seconded and unani- <br />mously carried the Traffic Engineer's recom 6ndation is approved. <br />STREET LIGHTING - LAFAYETTE AND JEFFERSON <br />Traffic Engineer recommends the reinstallation of a 40,800 FL UG SP on <br />Jefferson which was removed from in front of the County -City Building and <br />add 20,000L MV UG on a concrete post on Lafayette in front of this building. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Traffic Engineer's <br />recommendation was approved. <br />STREET LIGHTING - FAIRFAX ESTATES <br />The Traffic Engineer recommends the installation of 2 - 7,000L MV UG in <br />addition to the existing system in the Fairfax Estates subdivision as it is <br />
